I bought the Vacuum Compression Space Saving Zipper Storage Bags with Hand Pump before a big trip, and now I can’t imagine packing without them! The set of 12 comes in a great variety of sizes — perfect for everything from bulky winter coats (jumbo) to socks and underwear (small).The hand pump works surprisingly well — I thought it might be a hassle, but it only takes a minute or two to fully compress a bag. If you’re using it at home, it also works great with a vacuum cleaner. Once sealed, the bags stay airtight and don’t reinflate.These saved me so much space in my suitcase, and I love that I can use them for off-season clothes in my closet too. They’re durable, easy to use, and completely reusable.Highly recommend for travelers, apartment living, or just anyone needing to tame closet chaos!

These vacuum bags work great for storing winter clothes, comforters, and blankets. They’re also really helpful for travel. Saves tons of closet space and making everything more organized. The variety of sizes is perfect for different needs. Very happy with how well they work!

These Amazon Basics Vacuum Seal Bags appear to be of high quality. They look and feel remarkably similar to the SpaceSaver bags of yore. Heavy Duty plastic - check. Quality slider - check. Instructions printed on bag with a line to not go past when filling - check. You get a generous amount of them for a fair price as well. I’ve already started using them and overall they appear to deliver the goods. But, there does seem to be a quality control issue with the small size bags. 3 out of 5 of those I’ve used so far have failed. They were all VERY hard to open up for first use, and one of the bags tore at the very top right along the blue sealing strips. Into the trash with that one. The other two I successfully filled. Not overstuffed in anyway. Yet both will not hold the seal and both have re-inflated with air.All the other sizes I’ve used thus far are holding up like champs though. And I let them sit overnight to make sure the seals held.I would definitely buy these again and recommend them to others. I also had purchased quite a few from a different vendor and that was a completely different experience. So well done, Amazon! If the small bags had held their seal I would have given 5 stars.

These vacuum bags work great for storing and protecting wool sweaters against moths and for reducing the size of winter clothes, comforters and blankets for summer storage. My first picture shows the sweaters, which I also place in a Sterelite container with moth balls for storing them and providing triple protection. (And this way the mothballs don't stink up the sweaters.) After vacuuming, I can fit about 2 containers worth of sweaters in one container. The second one shows how my blankets turn into soft bricks that I can store on edge in my small closet. For me, this probably let me store 3 times as many blankets as could otherwise be practically stored there. You can see I have a down comforter, some poly blankets, and a quilt up there.Two years ago, I bought the Hefty version of these bags. They worked great but some lost their ability to seal on the 2nd year. I couldn't find them in the sizes I liked so decided to try these Amazon bags. They work great. Unlike Hefty, the vacuum valve depends on a cap. Like Hefty, I don't expect them to last many seasons but the cost per is very low. Having lost several hundreds worth of cashmere sweaters stored without protection, this is a great deal.

Works well and functions exactly as described. My boyfriend and I were able to pack up our entire wardrobe (2 people plus winter/snow clothes) and fit it into my rav4 plus a bunch of boxes and furniture. It really helped us save space during our move.I am giving this 3 stars because I ordered used like new and it only came with 12 bags instead of 20. So someone else kept 8 and then returned it. It came with the box literally open and ripped up but they covered it up by putting it in all in a new box. So whoever accepted this return and put it to give to another buyer didn’t do their job correctly. I wouldn’t have tried saving money if I knew I would get scammed. Customer service is a joke and only refunded me $5 when I was missing a lot more.

These bags are amazing, because prior to this I would use a resealable gallon size bag and move the air out with a drinking straw….because that is how I packed my clothes for traveling for 20 years. But these bags offer a whole new array of possibilities. I bought them to store clothes that need to be in location with abrupt temperature changes. The seal zipper mechanism is fool proof, and an air pump is provided with the bags. Alternatively, you could use the vacuum cleaner hose (canister or shop vac) that would really shorten the pumping air out. You can really achieve an airless, vacuum packed environment just with the pump. The bags are various sizes, but on the large capacity side. The larger size, will fit a king size comforter. I used a medium bag for the full/queen size feathers comforter. These bags store and protect your seasonal beddings and is a great idea to save room in closet by rotating items seasonally.The price in relationship to quality and versatility of use is excellent .
