28.5" Electric Fireplace Insert, Wall Recessed/Mounted, Freestanding Fireplace with Remote Control, 3 Color Adjustable Flames, 2 Modes Heat, 8 H Timer, 5 Brightness Settings, 750/1500W Heater

I built this fireplace and wanted something that looked realistic. It provides nice heat output and checks the boxes for realistic. My dog is even mesmerized. Easy to install, like the remote. Haven't had it long so can't speak to the long term quality but so far so good.

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Before sending back this fireplace, we decided to take it out of the wall & plug it into another outlet...and in the process, we realized that the cored needed to be pulled out more. It was stuffed into the unit. SO after we plugged it in & tried it again, it worked totally fine! The cord must have been getting hot which kept triggering the overheat protection & shut the unit off for safety. So, I no longer give this ONE star, I am now giving it FIVE stars as the seller contacted us right away & was willing to work with us to make things right. Now we are keeping the fireplace insert.*****************************************************************************************************************************We hooked this up today. Worked good for 5 minutes, then shut off. No heat or blower. Went through troubleshooting steps to try to fix it. Turned unit off for 10 minutes as instructed. Started up & lasted for about 10 minutes. Temp was set at 68 degrees so it did not overheat. All other buttons & features work just fine. Will be contacting Amazon seller in the morning for assistance.

Overall this fireplace gets 4.5 out of 5 stars for me and my experience. I built a faux mantle with built-ins for this item based on a previous entertainment center that was in the same spot that had an electric fireplace. the item says that it is 24.5" x 19.3", so I made my opening 24 5/8" x 19 1/2", which would have worked perfectly if I would have known that the cord came out of the side of the unit. The cord is a thicker gauge due to the unit supporting 1500W power, so I had to take another 1/2" x 2" notch out of the frame where the cord is located. I also had to take the rubber feet off of the unit to make it fit in the 19.5" opening, however, that was an easy task. Once those modifications were made, the unit fit in rather easily. Once I got it in and secure the frame that hides the screws is what provided the biggest challenge. The frame will not slide into place if the unit sits flush to a wall because the outer edge of the frame is thicker than the inner edge of the frame. I was able to get the frame on temporarily but will need to make my own frame to make it look complete.As far as the flame goes' I really like the blue/orange mix; however, I saw many complaints about how realistic it looks. In my opinion, this is an electric fireplace, and I can't really expect it to look just like a real flame. My last electric fireplace was over $700 and looked less realistic than this one. finally, the remote is great to have; however, it can be a little cumbersome to get figured out. Plus, you have to keep in mind that there is no way to know what the heat setting is unless the front door is open to see the temperature. I would have paid more for a smarter remote that said what the temperature setting was.

Awesome!! This is the second one we've bought. We loved the first one but sold our house with it and we knew immediately we would be buying one for our new house. Was so happy to find the same seller still selling them and the price is the best! Definitely recommend this fireplace, keeps the house warmer and it's so pretty!

Perfect accent to our guest bedroom! Easy to install and use. Would buy again. Great heat output. There are 3 fire colors to choose and levels of brightness. Temp goes up to 82. Perfect.

Product met all expectations. Had to have a carpenter install the necessary surrounding material to complete the appearance. Love the remote control and the features.

Purchased to install in a (well ventilated) cabinet below a tv. Easy to install and worked great for about there months. Then it just stopped producing heat. Fan and lights still run but now heat. I tore it apart and it seams the heating element is shot. Cheap parts cheap results. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered this item and got it quickly. We were inserting it into an existing fireplace opening. The flame effects are nice and all work as they should. But, when i tried the heat, the low comes on and produces heat, then of i switch it to high, the fan and heat stay the exact same. So for a heater that claims to have a big difference in BTU of heat produced between Low and High, i do not feel it. So either it is defective, or their heat claims are very incorrect. I would not recommend this unit.
