Just What I Needed
So, upfront, I did not buy these metatarsal sleeves because of my metatarsals. I bought them because of warts. A few months ago, I noticed that what I thought was a large callous on my left foot (which no amount of soaking/pumice stone could get rid of) was actually a cluster of plantar warts. So, I started a regimen of Compound W bandaids with plenty of athletic wrap to keep them on my foot (since I'm on my feet a lot for work). Now, I discovered over time that even with athletic tape and medical tape, enough movement and sweat moves the bandaids and thus the medication from the warts. Irritating. While I've seen a lot of improvement with the wart situation, I still wanted to find a foot sleeve of some kind that would hug my foot and keep the bandages in place no matter what, and these sleeves are perfect. They are very nice quality, soft, strong fabric with built-in gel cushions that really do make a difference with how my feet feel while walking, which I think is a fantastic bonus on top of my other foot-related issues. I have no arches to speak of, so I have foot pain a lot on both heels and the front balls of my feet. I incidentally found some work shoes that help with the heel pain, and these sleeves help with the pain on the bottoms of my feet, while also helping keep medication on my warts. So, yeah, these sleeves are perfect for what I bought them for and more!

Helpful solution, but uncomfortable to wear at times
Had a pain in the upper, center of one foot for several months that would worsen when wearing shoes with little cushion. My research led to trying this pad to alleviate the pain, and hopefully allow it to heal.Initially putting-on the pad was easy. But, slipping my foot into shoes with little extra space was cramped. And, pulling the pad into the best position meant the elbow pushed uncomfortably between my big and second two.It did seem to reduce the pain as intended, much to my relief. But, wearing it can cause discomfort, hence my overall moderate rating. And, if walking in uneven surfaces, when you shoe slides around, it can slide out of place a bit, bunching up.I will continue to wear it when I know I'll be walking a lot, especially on flat/even surfaces. Perhaps search for an alternative to try as well.

Comfortable
My dr recommended these for me and I was really excited to try them. The gel is super comfortable and really helps with the pain on my feet. My only complaint is that the sock is really stretchy and I feel like if it came with the option to choose a size I would have needed a xs one so that it stayed tight around my feet. It does move when I walk which makes it frustrating because I can’t fully enjoy the comfort of them when I’m constantly having to pull the sock up because it’s slipping

Superior Support for Tired Feet
I ordered these because of a unbearable pain in my left foot I came to find out was a bunion. Never have I such cumbersome ache in my feet and I was a Bartender on my feet for 12 plus hours a day! when researching this pain I discover that from not wearing arch supported shoes such as sandals or flip flops your bones in your foot and side of your big toe spread out of place causing a painful disinformation and one way of correcting that was to push it back into place with a halve sleeve like this one. I wore it for one week before writing this review so I can be sure of it doing what it claimed. Yes it does and is fixing my bunion However it hurt coming out of place so going back in is yes the same . I had to ease into how long i used the sleeve but immediately could feel it pulling the bone into place it felt good! But after bout a hour it became painful so i just increased the time every other day by 15 minutes at night to get use to the change and its working great! I cant stress enough how it is worth the mild discomfort at night (which is lessening each night ) to get rid of this pain for good! the arch support gels were a Bonus that i use daily and I will not be wearing flats all summer ever agian!

Would not buy again
Arrived in a nice box with NO instructions. Would not stay on foot unless I had shoes on. The insert fit outside the sleeves. From everything I tried (without instructions) I did not find success with this product. I would not buy again, and am not sure why there were so many positive reviews.

Constantly balling up in the front of my shoe
I love the concept and it seemed like it was going to be a very comfortable way to keep all the little piggies together. It's a bonus that it was also going to provide extra padding for the ball of my foot. In reality it just kept sliding back up over my toes and scrunching up at the front of my shoe. Of course, as a real man, I had to conduct several experiments to find out what was going on. They balled up when I was wearing sandals as well as when I wasn't wearing any shoes - just wearing them around the house. They balled up when I was barefoot and when I had socks on underneath. They even balled up when I put socks on over them. I'm not even sure how that is possible... I'm not going to be able to recommend this product at this time.

Love them much
After a season of wearing sandals or flats, the weather has forced me into boots. After several day, I was already experiencing feet pain, specifically to the ball of my right foot. It is discomfor to walk even after removing my boots. I have tried numerous metatarsal pads and by far these are the best. This metatarsal sleeve made of fabric and GEL,they would not slip in my shoe.Soften my boot and relief my metatarsal pains. Love them.

One side worked ok
The left one fit great and worked really well. The right one side not fit as well and had to be removed after about 30min because it was cutting into my my smaller toes and yet was also slipping off. Although the placement of the pads dictates which sleeve is for which foot, I tried the right one on my left foot (upside down, I know) to see if it was my foot or the cut. It cut into my toes the same way on that foot and the sleeve felt like it would've slipped off even if it was for the correct foot. So, it was the cut of the 2nd sleeve that was poorly or incorrectly made.
