I’ve replaced these on my lamp post 3 or 4 times. They only last for 3 or 4 years which is why I can’t give 5 stars. Stupid thing is you can’t get these anymore at the big box stores. Now they’re built into the poles so you have to replace the pole. Insane!

Works for outdoor light ole replacement

This photocell assembly replaced a similar unit with the same physical look and function. The connector on the new part was on the large side and barely fit through the hole in the lamp post. The original, failed unit, had a much smaller connector. Because of the connector difference I had to replace the entire unit instead of mating to the existing connector. The unit had the same mounting hole pattern and functioned as expected. The new unit did not come with the rubber seal, so I used the existing one.

I bought a different brand first, it was a disaster, this one worked great and fit perfectly.

Looked all over at the box stores could not find. Worked great

I was an electrician in a former life and found this type favorable because the light did not have to be disassembled for the photocell replacement since the lifespan is shorter than the post and fixture. I did have to replace the 3 wire quick connect on the existing wiring where my last 3 just had to be plugged in.
