Untold depths of knowledge dispensed scintillating prose
This book is utterly amazing. Don't believe me? Here are some of my favorite quotes:"Task specific rubrics are unique to a specific task."Not only does this book teach the wonderful knowledge it promises on the cover, but it does so in absolutely exquisite prose. This is an actual quote from page 27:"Space can be positive or negative. The area within the work of art. Space can be positive or negative. The area within the objects of a composition is objects of a composition is positive space positive space. The area surrounding the. The area surrounding the primary objects of a composition is primary objects of a composition is negative space negative space."Sublime.I do not for one second think one of those get rich quick guys who publish crap on Amazon paid a ghost writer a hundred bucks to throw this book together. Velma Shaw is obviously a real person who poured their heart and soul into this work.I am not quite to the end of the book, but I can't wait to finish it. I will go into my test with 100% confidence that I will pass. This book is an experience unlike any other. I recommend you purchase it so that we can hopefully encourage Velma - who is a real person - to produce more.

Full of information but not well edited
The typos in this guide are UNREAL. The test questions in the back even have typos in them and I disagree with some of the answers. Some content seemed like the author knew what she was talking about but some definitions were not clear and information was missing. Another author needs to fill in the gaps of this study guide for it to be worth it. The binding started falling apart after I turned the first page and my book is brand new. If you're in a jam or a hurry then get this book to help you do some studying. I don't write this to discourage anyone but I think it needs some polishing up.

Overall a great study guide!
I liked how this book broke down each competency (12) & had 10 question quizzes for each Domain (4). It also had an 80 question test in the back as well. I'm giving it 4-stars because it had a lot of typos & was missing certain information that I knew was on the test, such as the Rule of Thirds. I also think the graphics should have been in color instead of black and white, especially the color theories. It was an overall great study guide.

Adequate but DO NOT just rely on this resource
I passed but only because I supplemented with online resources. This book is severely lacking in Web Design Fundamentals. The practice test at the end of the book was helpful but vocabulary based rather an application.

Not worth the money!!!!!!
Don’t waste your time with this book. I’m frustrated that I spent money on this. It is a list of terms like a dictionary however no real explanation of some of the terms. I guess they assume you know some of the terms?Diagrams were blurry and everything was black and white. Lots of spelling and grammatical errors and the book was put together badly (titles at the bottom of the page for the next page). There is a practice test but one test isn’t worth the money I paid for this.

Passed on the 1st try!
I passed on the 1st time! This book helped me a lot with the vocabulary words that one needs to know for the test. Make sure and study the 2nd and 3rd domains A LOT!

Inconsistent information - Mostly definitions
I'm frustrated with this study guide. There is some great definitions and information, but the review questions don't match the information they provided. I also disagree with some of the answers and think that there are some typos. After I take the TEXES exam, I will update my review.***Update: I passed my test, however this book didn’t help with passing it. The test was more scenario/application based. Save your money!!
