Bush Furniture Salinas 55W Corner Desk with Storage in Antique White, Compact Workstation for Home Office, L Shaped Desktop Solution

My wife and I bought this for an unused corner of our very small lake house, primarily to use for the laptop computer and also for a little bit of extra storage. It is the perfect choice for what we need. Rather than write a whole bunch of blather about it, let me break it down:1) Packing: The packing couldn't have been better or more secure. Plenty of styrofoam and sheeting to protect the parts from damage, including extra-hard reinforced corners in case the piece got dropped a little. All pieces accounted for with no scratches or damage at all.2) Hardware: All the various pieces of hardware--screws, bolts, cams, etc.--came packaged in individually sealed plastic bags with a part number clearly labeled on the bag. That made assembly so much easier, as each step in the instructions was keyed to the part # you'd need. When I was done, I had one little cam cover left over!3) Instructions: The instruction book seemed intimidating at first, but if you follow the pictures (no text) step by step, you can't possibly go wrong. Each piece of the unit had an identifying label on it. Just make sure you've oriented the piece exactly as it looks in the instructions, and count which holes the pieces of hardware go into.4) Assembly: It was a breeze! It took me 2.5 hours, and not once did I have to puzzle out what I was doing. At the last step, though, when you lift the desk unit to attach to the cabinet, you're going to want an extra pair of hands.5) Overall impression: Though the piece is particle board, it's extremely sturdy and has no give whatsoever. I'm highly impressed, and I won't hesitate to buy from this company again.

These lamps look fabulous in our bedroom. Very reasonably priced. One of the lamps arrived with some black marks on the shade. I phoned the Lamps Plus customer service number and after we discussed the issue for a few minutes and she tried to offer some solutions we decided that there wasn't anything that could fix the problem so she said she would send out another shade. To make a long story short ... they had to send out a new shade three times before I got one that wasn't damaged. It was very clearly damage directly from the factory and not from how they were packaged. The packaging was always very sturdy.I'm still going to give them a five star rating because their customer service was so wonderful. It's not often that you get customer service reps that really go to the next level for you and the two different gals that I spoke to were amazing. Customer service goes a long way in my book !

I love this desk! I got the vintage black. I read the other reviews about putting it together and so we timed it. My husband did it in under 3 hours. The instructions were fairly intuitive, but he has a power drill, and is very mechanically inclined. We just took our time and it went together very well. I love that you can choose which side to put the corner on left or right.The size is perfect, it fits well in my corner and I can get two screens on it and still have room for two laptops, desk calendar and various other necessities. I am careful of the surface because I have read other reviews that it scratches or damages easily, but I've had this desk for about a month and have noticed anything. A nice solid desk for a small space.

I had got a roommate which meant no more working at home in my living room. I was working on a fold out sewing table which just wouldn't do anymore so I ordered a desk. I had a hard time at first but finally found this. Once it is put together, it is pretty great. I love the little storage area with the door and you can store store underneath the desk as well. I have a hamper I can hide away and a couple of boxes underneath too and they don't get in the way of my legs and feet because there's plenty of space. Make sure you put it in a corner of a room where you'll have plenty of space because once it's put together you'll see that it appears bigger than the picture. I definitely got my money's worth and recommend this wonderful desk.

Assembly was fine until literally the last cam. The hole wasn't in the correct spot so it wouldn't engage with the bolt and bent inside the hole. Now there's a big ugly gap between the desk and cabinet. Also the "N" piece that goes across the back is too long, which contributes to the gap.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm just not a handy person because I struggled putting this thing together. It was only me and it took about six hours all together. My biggest issue was the screws: it took a lot of effort to get them to fit. Maybe that had to do with the quality of my tools? I also misread the instructions and did two steps with the piece backwards but thankfully I figured it out.I really like the final product despite the pains of putting it together. Some steps require assistance but they are certainly doable with one person. I wish there was more storage space or even a keyboard drawer.

Looks really nice and gives a lot of space for small areas. The only thing I don't like about it is that the front of the desk where you attach the cabinet to does not have anything to support it besides the 2 metal brackets causing that corner to not be very secure constantly moving up and down with pressure from typing/resting arms on desk.

Very happy with this desk! Easy to assemble and it has the flexibility of multiple construction (left or right). I bought the filing cabinet as well and the go together well
