I use heavy duty bags in it and collect up any dog poo in our garden. Once a fortnight I pop the bag in the bin as I push the bin out for collection. The lid seals securely and there is absolutely no smell. The bin can be lifted by its handle and the wide square opening is perfect for my long handled poo pan. This bin is solid and locks to keep foxes out which is what is needed. The one the council use had to be returned to council because foxes could gain access and had food strewn over garden, not with this bin.

I have one for food waste from.council and thgt this wd b perfect for collecting my 2 dogs poo from garden I line it with a bin linner and once poo collected walk it to a dog poo bin as we live on the park tidy doesn't smell so it's perfect for our garden.

Keeps foxes out.

After using it for a few weeks the moulded plastic lock has become easier to operate but we have adapted to it, it’s not that it worked ok from the off! The bun however does what it’s designed to do. I may be less impatient next time though & just order one from the council lol

I already had one of these bins for food waste, my second one was just delivered, it’s not to be used as a compost bin though, it’s to be used as a dog proof bin for general waste in my kitchen, I have been owned by Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs for 35 years and they are the ultimate thieves, over the years I have tried so many things to keep them out of the kitchen bin ........... NOTHING WORKED, however the 4 I have at present have been able to break into my compost bin ........... hence this purchase. I now look forward to a less stressful life and dogs who no longer get heads stuck in the bin 😂

We had a problem that the foxes kept opening our last one which locked on the handle. Clever foxes round here! We resorted to hiding it in the large wheelie bin until the day the bin men came early and disposed of it with the garden waste! The new one is sturdy and importantly the foxes don't seem to be able to open the lock, which is not a handle lock. The foxes might well go on a course to learn how, but in the meantime, we are very satisfied.
