Frigidaire 11FFSCAL01 Ready Prep Stainless Kitchen Scale, One Size, Silver

I've seen this scale on British baking shows, but have never seen them in stores and didn't quite know how they work. But--fantastic! First, anything can be weighed. You set it for oz, fluid oz, liters, grams, etc, and it changes the metric. Also, it subtracts the weight of the container you are using, so you can set a bowl on it, pour in flour, and get the measurement you need. There's a lighted digital readout. I've needed this my whole cooking life. Makes it a breeze to cook from British or European cookbooks that use metric systems, and of course American cookbooks.

This scale gets the job done in terms of measuring things and changing units. BUT it’s annoying because it automatically turns off after 1 minute and sometimes I need more than 1 min to weigh something and then it will lose my measurement! So unacceptable, but I was able to work with it. However today the batteries died on me and it’s only been a couple of months. Rather than just getting new batteries I’d rather just get a new and better scale! All in all wouldn’t recommend.

The unit measures as needed with tare function. I don't like the battery type used in unit the flat batteriesare not what I normally stock, wish they were AAA or AA.

I purchased this on Jan 18, 2020 and did not get a chance to really use it till the end of February. I had to constantly reset the tare when I was using it to fill many jars because the tare was constantly changing. As you could understand, this also affected how much was actually going into the jar. Took forever to get finished as a result of this.It also brought into question whether the amount was really accurate.Now I have to go through Frigidaire to get this resolved. First call was voicemail. Bets on if I hear back?

It’s very inconsistent, and I usually have to way myself a minimum of 5 times to get an idea of what my weight actually is. For example it’ll say I way 120 the first time I step on it in the morning (which I only way after eating all day, and that’s on a day I eat a LOT) but after I step on it four more times it’ll give me a more accurate measurement.

The scale is well constructed. I appreciate the big surface. it’s pretty straight forward on you use it as the functions are pretty simple. For the price I am very satisfied with this purchase.

This scale is great! I bought this for use with my soap making. It works so great! Easy to use, easy to zero out, easy to clean. And it came with a battery AND another one for a backup! Nice touch! Every kitchen needs one!

It’s a beautiful scale. It’s a little slow showing the amount but otherwise great for mild to moderate cooking and baking in our average kitchen.
