Saved Me A Bundle
While rushing to install a Winter wheel/tire set on my daughters 2011 Fusion SEL, I accidentally installed one of the lugnuts at a slight angle, at first by hand, then using my deep sockets with torque wrench. When the wrench slipped off the lugnut, I knew I was in trouble. The nut threaded slightly off and the aftermarket wheels didn't have enough room to grab the nut to try to get it back off. I had no other wrenches that would get the nut off until I saw a YouTube video with this particular tool. This nut remover worked perfectly and I had the bad nut off in no time. This tool saved me a visit to my local mechanic or dealership and they would have easily charged me an hour labor to remove the nut = $120 labor and $6.50 for a replacement OEM nut. The tool paid for itself the first and hopefully last time I have to use it. But knowing that I now have the right tool for the job gives me additional confidence in case it ever happens again.

Not a bad set.
This really does have all the appearance of a good tool. Unfortunately upon the first use of the tool, mine broke in half. I do not really believe it was a fault in the tool, just an unfortunate circumstance.

Great set of sockets, case is sturdy
I bought this set to replace a set that I had loaned out to a friend and he had lost track of. It comes with Metric and SAE sizes so you're sure to find one that will fit your mangled bolt. They are nicely marked with sizing and the blow-molded case is sturdy and locks. Not some crappy thin plastic. They have a coating of oil on them so they won't be rusty, so that's cool. Definitely a good investment and worthwhile to have around.

LIFE SAVER
WORTH EVERY PENNY. IT REMOVED THE MOST STRIPPED BOLT I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. THE ONLY DOWNFALL IS THAT I WISH I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED THIS KIT YEARS AGO. LOL

It works!
The bolt head was rounded off and a local shop was unable to get the bold off my lawnmower blade. You would think the shop would have set of these. I bought the socket set and immediately was able to free and remove the rounded head bolt.

Worked well on the first try on an overtorqued bolt with rounded points.
No significant damage to the tool. The set paid for itself in the first use.

Saved my day
These things saved me. I stripped a cylinder head bolt way down in the head. Completely round bolts and tried these. Came out first dry. Saved me a ton of time.and headache as I would have had to drill out. Worth every penny.

A real lifesaver
the head of the oil pan drain plug on my 2010 Acura MDX finally just wouldn't hold a wrench any longer and stripped. Tried everything to get it off and started wondering if I'd need to replace the whole oil pan to fix it. Looked around for solutions and came across this set of extractor sockets. They are amazing! I lightly tapped it onto the bolt hex head and used a short power bar on a socket, and it gripped the bolt immediately and out it came. It was so easy I though tit had stripped the head further, but no - it removed the bolt. I purchased a better quality drain-plug off of Amazon, and was back in business. Whew! A close one!
