I recommend these...
I purchased these to help the achilles tendinosis I suffer from. This is a chronic condition.Things I really like about these foot sleeves:The hem of the toe end is very smooth, it appears to be a finished loomed edge rather than a turned-under stitched hem. It is not very noticeable when walked on. I wore these with a light wool sock on a very hot day of shopping and walking yesterday. I did not notice discomfort until I started driving home after about 7 hours of wear. Then they seemed a bit tight so I took them off. They are not too tight. I bought a size medium, I wear a women's size 9 shoe. The sizing is just about perfect for me.They are not scratchy. I have very sensitive skin and usually cannot tolerate rough seams and threads. These feel very smooth and comfortable.I can wash them out at night and they are dry by morning. I would suggest always hand washing these as they will stay elastic and smooth much longer that way. Heat destroys elastic fabrics. The packaging did not really have any instructions included, however I was emailed a 21 page usage guide a day or so after I received them that had lots of good information.Somehow I expected them to be a little taller on the leg because of the picture. They are actually about 5" tall from the floor to the top. They still offer comfortable support to the sore area of my achilles, without cutting into it at the top.I have had these for about a month now and I am finally having some improvement in the achilles problem!I am glad I tried these, they are reasonably priced and effective.

Took a Few Days To Appreciate
When I first tried them on I was disappointed because they weren't very snug at all. I tried them on below and on top of regular cotton socks and they felt like a pair of snug fitting cotton socks and nothing more. I figured since I spent money on them and my feet are gonna hurt anyway I'll give them a week. Here's what I've found and a little history. I'm 53, 5'10,200#, walk an average of 15k steps at work, on and off a forklift all day, lift heavy objects often, average 8 1/2 hour work day, wear good fitting alloy toed work shoes and have suffered sporadically with plantar fasciitis for over a decade until the last few months where it hasn't subsided this time. Until recently I also worked every Saturday at a toy store, averaging 20k steps in a 5 hour shift, lots of stair climbing as well as walking. I stepped back from the every Saturday because my feet would be killing me by Monday afternoon and I'd barely make it through the week vs only working 5 days making it until Thursday without the excruciating pain . I'd been using ice every evening because heat made them hurt worse. I added massaging with a baseball and they seemed to help after I cut back on Saturday shifts. I tried every Dr famous shoe insert to no avail because in the past a new set of insoles fixed the problem within a couple of days. I tried computation sleeves for a few weeks and that seemed to be helping the first couple of weeks but if I didn't put them on just right (not easy to do at oh dark thirty in the morning) I'd spend time during the day trying to get them right while doing a hectic schedule. I got some Walk Fit insoles and man do those things hurt while acclimating but they got the pain level down to where I'm not limping all day Friday and have an adventure in pain after being off my feet for a little while during the day. I think going from sitting to standing was by far the worst pain until walking at least a few dozen steps. The first day with these and no Walk Fits were very very painful so I tossed the insoles in my shoes at lunch and that made a difference having both the ComppressionZ and insoles. At night I did my ice,NSAID, massage therapy as normal. Tuesday my heel only hurt a little when I first got up and my feet lasted until about 6 hours into my shift before the pain got real. Wednesday was about the same but not quite a unbearable when I first stood back up after lunch. Thursday was pain free when I awoke, pain free all morning, minor pain when I got up after lunch and only moderate pain at the end of the work day, and slightly more when I got home from work and first started walking. Friday was almost pain free for most of the day, only mid minor pain when first standing after work and getting home. I actually went for a bicycle ride last evening for the first time in months because it didn't hurt too much to walk to where my bike is.In researching these socks I found other ways to tell where the culprit is besides the obvious age, weight things that are just what they are so I've added Achilles stretches where I sit in a chair and turn my feet in and out as far as possible while they're flat on the floor. This not only is helping with the tight tendons but my shin muscles , outer calves and lower calves are also getting more limber.I wear them under regular cotton socks as I found athletic support socks put too much compression on the top of my feet as I'm using both feet bent upwards for long periods while driving a forklift, causing the tops of my feet to go numb. I just tossed them in a "lacy things" bag to wash them and they dried overnight. I wear them from when I get out of the shower until bed time. I fell asleep with them on Thursday night and woke up during the night with my feet killing me at the top and bottom of the socks. If you're looking for a quick miracle cure for plantar fasciitis this isn't the magic pill. If you're looking for something to take your home therapy to the next level, as these along with stretches, ice(and/or heat) NSAIDs and massage so that as your body heals from the therapy, your feet, ankles and Achilles tendons get good support throughout the day so it won't undo the healing every day. Though not pain free totally, my feet have felt better this week than they have I months, I'm not so emotionally tired from fighting pain every day and finally am looking forward to the day when I'm pain free from plantar fasciitis again and can get back to walking around the neighborhood in the evening, fishing and all the other things that I've stopped doing because of foot pains.

They work! Foot pain is meaningfully reduced.
Overall, these sleeves are very good. I have had an increasingly painful case of plantar fasciitis in my left foot over the past six months. I have orthotics in my shoes and wear a night boot/splint a few times per week. Since I received the sleeves about a week ago, I have worn one on my left foot during virtually all waking hours and it has made a noticeable difference. A lot less pain. They fit nicely under a pair of socks and I have had no trouble fitting on my shoes over them. I am a size 9.5M which would suggest I needed to order the Medium size sleeve. Only the Large was available, so I bought a pair of L. They fit snugly and I would think that the Medium might be too tight. My only two (minor) issues with these are: (1) after a week, I have found that the front end (by the toes) starts to bunch up a little when I am putting on my sock. If I don't reach through the sock to smooth it out, I would have a lumpy section which would be uncomfortable. I didn't notice this the first few days, so maybe as the sleeve is used for a while, the fabric on the edges gets a bit stretched and loosened and risks being rolled/bunched when socks are put on over it. My second issue has to do with wearing the sleeve while sleeping. I thought it would be a welcome alternative to the boot/splint which is bulky and annoying in bed. However, the one time I wore the sleeve to bed, I woke up in the middle of the night in considerable pain and had to take it off. There was no promise that it would work as an alternative to a night splint, but I hoped it would. I like these a lot as they have led to a significant reduction in foot pain. I would give 4.5 stars if I could.
