AVANTEK Add-On Plug-in Receiver RB-1, 1300 Feet Range with 52 Chimes, Black

We use this "doorbell" system inside the house as a "call button". Mom is in her late 80's and sometimes needs help. Originally bought a single transmitter with multiple receivers. Have the button in Mom's bedroom and the receivers in different parts of the house. Makes it real easy for her to let us know she needs some help with something. Bought this additional transmitter button to place in the bathroom - just in case. Easy to set up and works great! Distance allows us to have a receiver even out in the garage/workshop! A cheap and easy solution that helps us solve a problem and worry less. And it should work great as a doorbell, too!

So easy to operate bought this extra transmitter to put on another level. So many chimes or jingles to pick from. Great loud volume. Great Buy!

Seems to work as expected and required. It has loads of annoying 'tunes' so you are likely to stick to the basic 'ding dong' doorbell sounds. It's very easy (one button) to change the tune so tell your kids not to mess with it! I needed an extra receiver but really annoyingly they only do those in black, so I have two white and one black! Overall however, it works well and looks good. n.b. I'm on a mission to write genuine reviews (too many fake ones). After 1 buy did now the second because of big house and love it,very easy to setup

Update: I contacted the seller who advised me I have an older version doorbell transmitter. He told me how to order the correct receiver which I did after returning the first one. The new one works fine. Just make sure you order the correct receiver for your transmitter. You may need to contact the seller to know which one to order. The seller gave me half off the price to compensate me for my trouble. I changed my rating from one star to five star because the second receiver works great. Receiver won't pair with the D-3B transmitter even though the product description says it does. Lots of reviewers had same problem. Company should not keep selling something that they know does not work.

I purchased two packages that included a doorbell and two receivers (so all in all, 2 doorbells and 4 receivers). Then I needed a 5th receiver and bought this one with the identical description and identical pictures. The problem is with the sounds available on the receivers. On the first 4 receivers, I cycled through the 52 sounds and had a really hard time deciding on the sound to choose. When I purchased these, I thought... 52 sounds, I should be able to find several that are good. However, after cycling through all 52 sounds, most were stupid long. You don't want your doorbell to play for 20 seconds. You just want some pleasant ding dongs and maybe some other short audio patches that are pleasant. Finally on thre first 4 receivers I found one that I thought was okay. THEN, I installed this 5th add-on receiver. Go figure, the sounds were similar, but the one I liked wasn't available on this single add-on unit. So, the sounds I liked were that scarce that I have to return this single add-on unit. Now I wonder if I just have to spend the extra money to buy the same multi-pack with and extra doorbell and receiver I don't need to get the same sounds. Given all of the above complaints. Setup was so simple. I put these receivers all over my house easily. Price for a system like this is very good. The receivers are a nice size and let you plug another device into a double outlet. I will keep the 2 packages with 1 doorbell and 2 receivers. I will return this single receiver. Then I will buy another package with 1 doorbell and 2 receivers hoping to get the same sounds. I will just spend a few extra dollars and have some spare parts left over in the end.

Got this so that we can put this outside in our patio since the other 2 are in the house and garage. Works great and very easy to pair with the other receivers.
