I had been struggling with an itchy scalp for months, with no flakes or anything, just a constant itch that seemed to be worse on days where I sweated a lot while exercising. I tried some fancy serums and clarifying shampoos, but nothing that did much beyond a few hours of relief. This got rid of all the buildup on my scalp and relieved the itch. At first, my fine, color-treated hair would tangle as I scrubbed this in, and I had trouble rinsing it out even though my hair is pretty short, But I eventually realized I didn't need to use nearly as much as I had been (and now a tube goes much further, too). Just a dab along the central part, then use your fingertips to gradually work a bit more up underneath the hair, working inward from the edges all around. If you add more water as you go, it will foam up and keep getting easier to work with. I scrub this in, let it sit for a minute or two before rinsing, then follow with my normal shampoo and the Hask tea tree scalp mask in place of my regular conditioner. If I do this once or twice a week without fail, the itch is controlled and my hair has a bit more life to it, too. My only complaint is that the flip-top lid doesn't close completely after the first use because it gets some of the invisible grit under the seal. If I leave the flip-top closed and just unscrew the whole top, it works much better. If I forget and use the flip-top, I have to unscrew the whole thing and rinse it really well underwater, then snap the flip-top completely closed before screwing it back on.

I like that after only two uses, it has already lessened the flakiness and itchiness of my scalp. It smells and feels really nice to use. The packaging was also perfect when it arrived, though the cap is a little tough to snap closed. The downside is that I have to use a little more of the product per use than I expected. Otherwise, it's great, and I'm hoping it will get rid of all flakes in a few weeks!

I used to believe if flakes came out while scratching your head that it was a completely normal thing and there was nothing that could actually be done. I used to think people never scratch their head in public because they would actually have flakes come out of their hair. Ever since I've started using this shampoo I have not been able to cause flakes to come out of my hair when scratching my head. My scalp feels amazing and no longer collects any dead skin longer than a couple of days a fort night because of the shampoo. It's also good for the beard. It's best to use a scalp scrubber, one with rubber bristles, to ensure a thorough scrubbing. To apply I put about 2 tablespoons in my hand and just with finger tips collect a little bit and go underneath my hair and try to paint my scalp entirely before scrubbing. I have very long hair so I can't just apply it to the top of my head and hope to get my scalp. I have to spread it around underneath the hair to ensure a good coat. It's not a bad idea to just let a little spritz of water from the shower head to graze your hair to give the shampoo some better mobility, just don't do more than a half a second spritz. To get it out it's easier to just add shampoo afterwards and wash them both out. Then of course use conditioner. Don't scrub too hard or too long your first time. 4 minutes is enough. It works amazing. I let my mom's salon use it for my mom's hair and now they are buying it for the salon.

I did not like the feel on my scalps and used my firsts to rub it in because it felt too rough for my fingertips. It does scrub the scalp well but it is so hard to rinse out and my hair felt so dry afterwards. I would say this would be good for short haired males or females but if you medium length or longer, only get it if you don't mind taking the time to get this out.

I never write reviews. I've never used a product that I felt warranted a great review, until this product. I have struggled with what I thought was dandruff for years. No matter how many anti dandruff shampoos I used, it made no difference. I had started to accept that I would have this for life. One of my friends recommended I try scalp exfoliation to see if that would help. This is the first product I've tried and I have only used it one time. ONE TIME. My scalp feels so clean and I have absolutely no little specs and flakes anymore. After one use, this has completely eradicated all of the build up and junk on my scalp. My hair is also the softest it has been in my adult life, and looks fantastic. I even cried a little because I have been dealing with the "dandruff" for years with no relief. This product smells good, it is easy to use, and is 100% effective (at least for me). It did make my hair feel a bit dry after I used it so just make sure to use a decent shampoo and conditioner. I will buy this for the rest of my life. If you are struggling and are looking to try something, buy this. Seriously, what are you waiting for?

After ONE use, it’s like night & day for my scalp! I went from having an EXTREMELY red, irritated, burning, itchy, flaky & scaly scalp along my hairline to having ZERO redness (not even a hint of pink), ZERO flakes, ZERO scaling, ZERO itching & soft, manageable hair. It’s a MIRACLE! I’ve had these scalp issues for years with symptoms sometimes being worse than @ other times & have tried SO many products that did nothing for me except take my hard earned money & left me LITERALLY scratching my head in incredulity over having bought yet another useless product. Having suffered from an itchy, flakey scalp for many years, and have tried almost every product under the sun, I purchased this based on other reviews but was sceptical, to say the least. It arrived yesterday having used the same-day option as my scalp was unbearable during the night. It isn't the easiest product to use, I have fine but thick hair and it took quite a lot of effort to work it into my entire scalp, and I did have to wash my hair twice to remove the residue-but this could be because I use a mild shampoo. Conditioned as usual, dried my hair...then couldn't believe my eyes. My hair looked like I had just stepped out of the salon, it was sleek and glossy and looked great. And wee are now 24 hours later and not only does my hair still look great and doesn''t require washing, my scalp isn't bothering me one bit. Which I can assure you is nothing short of a miracle. I have used other products made by this company before (sheet masks, coconut facial cleanser) and they have been ok, but this is great. I cannot tell you the relief of using something that has worked.

Had scalp irritation for a few years now but always just lived with it (mild psoriasis, dry and itchy scalp) . Paired this with some T Gel shampoo I got from the supermarket and after a single use my scalp has felt great all week. Thought I would give it a go as it's half the price of some branded products, and it does exactly what it claims. The cream itself is gritty and gives the scalp a good itch when applied. Doesn't have a strong smell, it's kind of a fresh teatree odour, reminds me of bubble bath.
