BellyGuard Recovery Suit for Dogs, Comfy Dog Surgery Suit, Female Spay and Male Neuter Onesie for Post-Op Care

Alfie is a FB2 cavapoo & is 8 lbs. He was just neutered & I noticed he was trying to lick there. I bought this in hopes that it would be easy to put on him as well as protect his goodies or lack of thereof. LOL it fits him perfect, is soft, stretchy and putting it on was really simple. He isn't a fan of putting clothes on, or being still enough to put clothes on. You put their head through the neck first and then the front legs, which are large enough to where he doesn't even know that he's putting on a shirt. Then the snap part comes up through the legs, the snaps aren't hard to "snqp" so you're not sitting there long at all causing them to get anxious. Alfie is still a puppy so he hates sitting still for long. It has a big hole for the tail so it doesn't press on it at all. Theres multiple snap spots so you can fit it accordingly. He has been wearing it all day and hasn't tried to get out of it. It is not super tight but it is protective enough where he can't get to his incision. Being that is near his hiney it is a big plus. Other recovery suits that I've tried do not cover the area that I need protected. The decal on the back is a plus. So adorable. He still looks cute without looking like he's in a straight jacket LOL his measurements are: neck 7 in, back 11 in, and girth 10 in, 8 lbs. I got the size small. This fit him perfectly. I haven't taken him out yet but the instructions on how to snap it up out of the way looks easy enough. I don't have to take it all off just to put it back on again. If anyone is looking for a recovery suit I highly recommend this one.

My dog had a major surgery this week in her abdominal/chest area. A vet tech recommended I get her one of these before surgery and bring it with me the day I dropped her off. It is AWESOME. It is like a onesie for dogs! It’s a soft, very comfortable t-shirt material, and it’s protecting her staples and sutures, no matter where she lays down. I measured her using the sizing chart and it was very accurate. It’s loose enough in her chest/abdominal/female area to not cause irritation or chaffing. I ordered the XXL because my dog has a very large body and chest. It was a little long for her, but I just twisted the “Potty Flap” once before snapping it around her tail and that took care of the extra length. This is the second one I ordered, so I could change them out and wash the other one every few days. I love the “Ruff Life” screen print on the first one I ordered. While the dreaded “Cone of Shame” may still be necessary for some surgeries, this is perfect for the procedure my dog had. I would 100% recommend! Check with your vet if this is an option for your fur baby!

We purchased these suits to be used right after the puppies had some surgery. The suits were easy to put on, stayed in place and was easy to wash/dry.Yes, the suits were cute too

This is much better than a cone for the dog after neuter surgery. Much more comfortable. I am not sure it is as protective, but the dog could not tolerate the cone or inflatable ring so I tried this item and it worked well with him. He is a 70 pound Airedale Terrier and is very energetic. I was surprised the way it fit him rightly and he seemed very comfortable. He didn't even try and scratch or rip/bite the cloth, the way he does with every thing else. After a week however, it does have a few small tears in the fabric. Still, it made it through the most critical part of his surgery.

I bought this for my puppy's recovery after spaying. She didn't seem to mind me trying it on her, and I like the fact that you can just fold it up to the neck and snap it for potty breaks. However, it was too large and she was able to pull her feet through the holes. She is a Corgi mix, so she has a long body so I bought it in the size indicated for her back length so it was a little too large around her middle. I recommend buying it to fit according to the size chart. It does need to be somewhat snug so the pup can't get out of it. And it does stretch after putting it on.

Really pleased with this recovery suit. Great material. There is a place inside for extra padding like a soft thin washcloth to add if desired. Easy put on and off (with button on chest to potty). We got the Med., but maybe should have bought the large as just right & glad adjustable. Our dog is long but not heavy at 21 inches long but only 30lbs. Bought Surgisnuggly too but material thin like a bathing suit and large not as snug with her body type (rolled around like she was itchy?). This BellyGuard suit is superior & works for her body type.

I had to order this for my dog who needed an immediate splenectomy. It came the same day which is what I needed but this came bunched up in the package and covered in dog hair. And it's not the color I ordered either. I'm forced to keep this because my dog needs it so I had to wash this even though I find it annoying that this wasn't recognized before being sent out. I did order a second one because I wanted a brand new one and it came the size and color I ordered and it works good. I'm just frustrated how the first order came.

My dog was happy to wear this following her spay. She went between this (while I was watching her) and this plus a comfy cone (when she was alone). The suit was comfortable, easy to use, and fit her well.

This is a great product, and I would highly recommend. We have a 67 lb. Golden Retriever, and it fits him perfectly (it also has one additional set of snaps that could make this tighter on him, but we used it at the more relaxed size). It is very soft, and stretchy, and feels like good quality material. Our dog loves it. First time we put it on him he was curious and tried to chew/lick the onesie, but because it's so comfortable, he quickly got used to it and had no issues. It is easy to put on and take off, and the snaps allow a quick way to take the dog out for doing his business. The onesie unsnaps, and has an additional snap under his collar that keeps the onesie out of the way when relieving himself. He is so used to wearing it now that we might even leave this on at times to keep him warmer.

Had previously paid over £30 for a recovery suit from the vets and it was super tight on my other Chihuahua after his op, so he didn’t wear it for as long as he was supposed to - tried it on for my other dog who has his op tomorrow and it was even tighter - so wanted to get him a suit with a bit of room in so he’s more comfy!As you can see in the photos it fits nicely with room (ordered a small and he is 4.5kg), covers his bits (where the wound will be), is easy to clip and unclip for toilet needs and feels very high quality, for less than £20 i’m very pleased and would recommend to others who have a male dog!Plus look how cute he looks (even though he’s not impressed 🤣)!
