We actually bought this house for our 2 blue heelers. But, before we could even use it, our female had a litter of pups. When they got too big for our whelping box in the house, we decided this would be a great place for them to live outside until we could find homes for them. My husband and son-in-law built a pen, of sorts, to go around it. Worked out perfectly. The pups actually house-broke themselves living in it. They would never go poddy in the house or on the deck. They would run out into the 'yard' area and go poddy. So, when we gave one to our daughter at 7 weeks old. She kept him in the crate when not at home and at night when he was sleeping. But, as soon as he had to go poddy during playtime in the house, he went straight to the door and whimpered to go outside. Lol... Love this doghouse! Very easy to clean and access while the pups were inside. Gave them good shelter in bad weather. Only note is that the wood is pretty thin so if you have very large heavy dogs or a chewer, it might not hold up. But, otherwise, for us it is working out great. :)

The media could not be loaded. Very happy with my purchase, pups are too! The middle divider had an opening so I used the patio pieces to dive it so each pup can have their own space. The wood is a little wonky and crackable on some parts but house is pretty sturdy overall.

If your dog weighs more than 20 pounds and/or you have more than one dog, do not buy this. If your dog is active and playful, do not buy this.Within a month of having this, the side railing broke off and the inside of the dog house started caving in. The dog house is made with such cheap quality product, it will not last long. You are better off buying plastic or building your own.The dog house is also smaller than what you imagined.We kept wondering why our puppy would come on with scratches where it looked like his fur was shaved off and it was due to this dog house falling apart: wood breaking, screws being exposed.I do not recommend this at all. For the price and the quality, I would recommend something else for your fur babies.Contacting the seller has been an absolute nightmare. I have not been able to get ahold of anyone and now we are down $300+ and our dogs have no dog house because we have this pile of wood taking up space in our yard.

So it IS a nice size… for a dog smaller than mine. I should’ve measured him before I bought this (face palm emoji). It really is pretty cool and I put it together myself (I’d recommend another person helping). It’s sturdy and everything. But my dog is a border collie mix, so like 48 lbs. He’s too tall to fit inside unless he ducks down, which he won’t because he’s 14.We’ve had my brother-in-law cut the openings to make them bigger but we’re still not there yet. Next up is removing the porch (which is a good size for any dog). That might enable him to be able to get through. Because of his mobility issues, I was looking for a dog house with a LARGE opening. And this seemed the perfect alternative. The regular dog houses won’t work for him because he can’t turn around the way he used to. I probably should’ve just commissioned a carpenter to build one custom. It really is a beautiful house with a sweet porch! Would be great for a corgi, Shetland sheepdog, schnauzer, Beagle, Bassett hound, bull dog (English or French), etc. any of the other medium-sized dog breeds might be too tall.

I saw the reviews and against my better judgment I still purchased the dog house hoping the reviews weren’t accurate. Well, they were. The dog house kit is difficult to build. Luckily my husband and I are moderately experienced in building, however this is definitely not user friendly and not for the everyday “IKEA builder”, alignment took longer than need because there were no guides on the wood. Also the wood definitely spit multiple times in multiple places and I can assure you we were very careful and mindful with any pressure. The materials are low quality and the wood is untreated. The final build is not sturdy and overall this has become a huge hassle not worth the results. Now I need to paint the dog house exterior with a sealant and I am dreading it. This is not for the novice builder.

I love the genuine smell of this wood. When it shipped and got unboxed, everything was still on tact, no damage, and packed very carefully, which I really appreciated given the price of this product! It has taken a bit longer to assemble as there were no instructions included in the box and the instructions online are confusing. (This comes from my fiancé and he can usually build and assemble things without issues) All in all, this product is worth the money, it’s good quality and super cool for your furry friend(s).

We really like this dog house. Are dogs love it. We ended up separating the porch from the doghouse so they got two spots to hang out. We have several Chihuahuas and they love both parts. We have not had to use this feature yet, but the feature that you can open the top to clean it really easy is going to be so nice when we need it. The only thing that we may add to it is something to the side window to prevent rain from going into it on a windy day. The setup directions could have had more detail but overall it's very impressive.
