Worth the Splurge – Great Quality & Performance!
I upgraded from a cheaper blow dryer brush to the Drybar Double Shot, and I can confidently say it was worth every penny! The quality is noticeably better, and it feels much more durable. It dries and styles my hair quickly while giving it a smooth, salon-quality finish with plenty of volume. The lightweight design makes it easy to use, even for longer styling sessions. One tip I learned from my previous blow dryer brush—clean out the hair and lint regularly to keep it working efficiently and prolong its lifespan. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality blow dryer brush!

Impressive Hair Tool
I am the mom of 7 kids, including 6 girls. All of us girls have very different hair types and this tool works great for us all! I am highly impressed!! I have grey hair with a course texture, one daughter has thick straight, some have thin wavy, and some have thin straight. I blow dry everyone’s hair at night after showering, and like magic we all wake up ready for the day like we just stepped out of the salon! It has been a major time saver for getting everyone ready in the mornings before school. I love that it takes minutes to dry my 4-2 year old children’s hair. It sets the style and has completely eliminated that matted hair they get from sleeping or riding in their car seats. It takes a little longer to dry/style my tweens’ hair, maybe like 10-15min, but the results and longevity of the style is totally worth it. For me, I love that I wake up with my hair looking fresh, and I am not rocking my typical mom bun look anymore!

A++++++ absolutely LOVE IT! The must-have for doing your hair at home A+
This product is Absolutely The must-have device for doing your hair at home!!! A+I was so happy when I tried this product at my friend’s house, that I immediately found it on Amazon and put it in my cart! I waited to buy it just to make sure I wasn’t just making an impulse buy. This blowout tool is amazing, multiple levels for heat, makes your hair shine beautifully, it gives you the ability to make natural wave curls in your hair and it’s easy to function.I have basically every tool you can imagine In the book for combating my mixed hair, I have frizzy/curly/wavy, natural hair texture, which makes finding a tool difficult unless you’re just doing a straight iron. As I’ve gotten older, I find that I need volume at the the base of my head and the crown of my head, so the straight iron really isn’t my thing anymore. This product lets me do that, and I don’t have the same problems I have with conventional curling irons I’m all thumbs when it comes to doing my own hair. So for me to tell you that this product is absolutely by far the best thing I own and can use it successfully by myself, Every time. Now that is major.

A new go-to!
Pros: Smoothes, doesn't snag/catch hair, dries hair quickly and is easy to handle despite it's large barrel size (which is actually a plus to have a great blowout). Cons: The noise level is more than expected and I wish there were more heat settings.

Love This Brush!
I have been using a John Frieda hot air brush for years and decided it was time for a new one. I have another that I used for a short time, but it got so hot I was afraid my hair would get severely damaged. The Drybar brush is comfortable to hold, the half shot is the perfect size for chin length hair, and the heat is not too hot. There are 3 speeds to this dryer....low, high and cool. I find the low speed to be the most manageable as it tends to prevent frizz. It is important to rough dry yout hair to slightly damp before using the brush. I highly recommend!

very disappointed :(
I’ve had this device in my shopping cart for months! I was really excited to finally order it. I mainly chose Drybar because I read it has more temperature control and won’t get above 250 degrees. I’ve had the similar Revlon product for a few years and it actually burnt off a chunk of my (then bleached) hair back in 2020, so temperature/damage control was important to me when picking a new blow dry brush. That said, this thing got so hot!! Much hotter than I would like, it felt like the same temperature as the revlon after it was running for a few minutes. My biggest issue is that my hair kept getting caught between the top of the gray brush part and the yellow cap. Even once I was aware of it and being more careful + taking smaller sections, it was hard to avoid and it ripped a lot of my hair out, breaking the ends and also ripping some hair from my scalp. Finally, my hair did not even come out very good. I’m familiar with this type of device and how to use it. But my ends came out all frizzy when they should be nice and smoothed down. Overall my hair came out shiny, but not smooth with tons of flyaways. All that said, I did appreciate how lightweight the dryer is, the long cord, and the way it swivels easily. But I will be returning this. I’m wondering if a hair dryer purchased direct from Drybar would be better than from Amazon. I might consider trying that.I tried to take pictures of the strands of hair caught in the brush and how my hair turned out. I would typically expect it to look much smoother than it did turn out. After going back and brushing my hair with a regular brush, the last pic looks okay, but you can zoom in to see all the flyaway hairs curving out. I did use leave-in conditioner and a smoothing blow dry mist/heat protectant from Kristin Ess which usually works great.

Do it
Why did I wait so long to get this? I usually do my blow out with hair dryer and round brush. Game changer. I have thick medium length hair. Smoothes, volumizes, and gives great blow out waves/movement. Works best on damp/towel dried hair. I've also used it on wet hair - works but not as good and takes longer.

Overrated
I have had this for about 18 months and am finally ready to admit it’s overhyped. I used the Revlon hot brush for years but when it finally broke and I had to replace it I thought Drybar would be an upgrade. Definitely not! This has caused so much hair breakage (and I never skip heat protectant!), is cheaply made (the tines are very pliable and twist within the product, reminiscent of a cheap hairbrush), and has caused severe air quality issues in my home which I now know thanks to an air monitor. It dries hair pretty quickly but other than that I do not recommend it.
