I've ( we've - Military Working Dog Foundation ) have been using Zukes products for 10 years. First off they are in competition with Blue based in the Northeast. Zukes customer service and product quality have always been better than Blues. They are a much smaller company but that family feeling shows. That's why you see Blue buying up all of the shelf space in the big stores. Blue is ok, Zukes is better.I only give the rescued or other working or service dogs we work with the same high quality foods and snacks as I give my own dogs. Quality counts for the health of your dog. I'd rather spend a little more and have a big healthy happy dog than big medical bills from low grade production foods. And buying it on Amazon is even less expensive than the chain stores or mom and pop specialty shops. ALTHOUGH, THEORY PRICE FLUCTUATIONS FROM WEEK TO WEEK ARE TERRIBLE.No. I've never worked for Zukes or know anyone at the company. I've only spoken to them on the phone over the years when you could buy from their website.Depending on the size of your dog, you don't have to give or offer the approximate one inch square chew. I break them in half even for my GSD, especially when we're away from home to make sure there's enough for the day.The strong aroma and good taste (for your dog) makes it an excellent training food. I just have to reach to my left rear pocket or carabiner bag and all the dogs sit without me having to say a sound. THEY KNOW.All three flavors work well but I start with the beef for training. They worked great for a pug I recently trained, but of course I broke up the chew into about 4-6 pieces. Never over feed your dog, no matter how much you love them. The extra weight shortens their life.They work. They're quality food. And the price here is great.

This product is amazing! We had a gift card for an out of town feed store and my husband happened to pick this up. We have an older Rott/Boarder Collie who has been having joint, arthritis trouble. The vet has given him several medications. One he won't eat unless I force it and the other makes him act "wonky". The vet says I shouldn't have a problem with either product, but I know my dog! Anyway, because of this fluke purchase, his mobility and attitude improved by "leaps and bounds" within two weeks! He no longer cries or yelps when he tries to get up and he is much more playful. Bucky, our dog, is also allergic to corn. It isn't easy to find a "treat" that doesn't have corn. This product is free of corn and other additives i.e. wheat, soy, artificial colors, flavors, added fat or by-products. The only thing I could wish for is disclosure of the caloric content. I don't know how many calories are in a treat. We use this in conjunction with a senior glucosamine /condroiton dog food. The 1lb pk that we purchased was $17 and a 45 minute trip out of town. I'm down to one treat. He takes three (huge dog) a day. I decided to see if I could get it on line. Everything I found was still expensive especially with S&H. And, then I thought maybe Amazon. Sure enough there it was. So, thanks to Amazon. But more importantly, greatful thanks to Zuke's for a miracle product. Couldn't be more happy. God gave us a great gift when he gave us all our furry friends!Since I wrote this feed back originally in April, 2012...I need to update the review. We have lost our Bucky since. Turned out a misdiagnoses of arthritis was actually bone cancer. What a nightmare. Amazing that these treats even helped him with bone cancer. I found that I was buying a lot of these wonderful treats and decided to save money by using the subscribe feature. Pretty disappointed. The product is still good if you don't mind damaged packaging and mangled treats. Every package I have received since subscribing has been substandard. I don't know if they are trying to cut corners in the subscription program or what. I just canceled my subscription and will look elsewhere for my treats. I never had a problem with the product prior to subscribing. Bucky passed over a year ago and nobody can replace him. However, we have since adopted an Australian Shepherd and a Dobbie who also love their Zuke's.

This product is wonderful and really does work! I have a 13 yr old rat terrier and have been using this product for about 7 years now. When I bring her to the dog park people are amazed at how old she is because she runs and plays with my almost 2 year old hunt terrier. I know it is working bc when I forget to reorder and she runs out for a few days to a week, I can tell she slows down and is less likely to play! I highly recommend to anyone considering purchasing! Btw, I am NOT paid for this review, just a loyal fan of this amazing product!

My dog is an 11year, extra large mutt. He has really bad joint and muscle pain. So much that when we actually play with him, he wakes up in the middle of the night screaming and crying. I’ve been giving him these treats in his food twice a day for a few years and it makes a HUGE difference. I thought it was a coincidence so one time a few years ago, when I ran out I stopped buying more. Such a mistake. My dog started limping and walking much slower. Now I make sure he never runs out. Worth the price!

Not only do these make my 11 yr old dog act like a puppy, my mom forgot them for a few weeks when she was watching him, 2 yrs ago, & he was so stiff & tired she took him to the vet. Three days back on & he was prancing around again. We recommend them to all our dog buddies now

This product has helped my dog a lot. My dog has a bad hip and had a hard time walking and after giving my dog these hip action treats it has inproved him a lot and is even running some.

We ran out of these at one point and switched to liver treats. After about two weeks our dog was having trouble getting up the stairs. Switched his nightly treat back to Zukes and within a few days he was climbing the stairs again with no problem. Majic! We are convinced.

Great product for my little dogs
