Good combination of features
This chair is light but not the lightest around. Other companies offer lighter chairs but have serious design issues or oversights. I went through 4 other chairs before settling on this one.- Removable armrest: majority of wheel or transport chairs seem to lack this feature. Without this feature, it is difficult to use a transfer board to save my back. The armrest swings away or can be removed easily.- Brake: it would have been nice to have the brake on the hand grip. You have to get down to set and release the brake. At least the brake handles have enough leverage to set and release easily. Other products with a similar design can require a herculean effort to set the brake.- Comfort: The chairs in the marketplace fold in one of two ways. The models that fold forward all had lateral support bar hitting the upper back. They hurt. Have the designers actually sat on these chairs before selling?I realized the chairs that fold sideways, like this one, have no such painful horizontal bars. The bottom seat is fastened on top by screws. While they are flat, I would have like to have these screws on the side or at bottom away from the pants.- Anti-tipper: many other chairs lack this feature. I am pleased NOVA included it.

Perfect for automobile transport
Light enough that 120 pound 70 year old wife can lift to put into car/SUV. Occupant can propel if legs are strong enough.

Lift away arms make transfers easy
The Lift away arms make transfers very easy when using a transfer board. – WC to/fro bed, WC to/fro other chairs... transfers are made more quickly and are SAFER compared to transfers when using the same size WC of a different brand with fixed arms. Narrow width helps with storage against wall in bedroom or hallway. Rolls smoothly. My husband wishes the wheels were the easy release type, so they could be removed to make stowing WC in car when traveling easier. A few years ago I got a Karman Ergonomic Wheelchair with 16 inch Seat and Quick Release Axles, but when I started needing to use a transfer board the fixed arms make transfers difficult, for me. Finding the Nova chair with flip up arms improved my ability to get around my house independently.

Strong, Flexible Transfer Chair
First thing to know: this is not a wheelchair. Your person will not be able to move around by themselves with this. This is a chair you use to get your non-walking person to and from the car, or to and from different points at home.It is very sturdy; my person is 200+ pounds, and I can move them easily in this chair. The wheel brakes are also very strong. As strong as the chair is, it is lightweight, and folds up very easy. Fits perfectly into the trunk of my Toyota Corolla.Very much recommended,

Sturdy, lite-weight and comfortable…nice crossover between a walker and a wheelchair
The perfect chair for my 96 year old father-in-law. He can use it like a walker and when tired he can sit in comfortably and be driven to where ever he needs to go.

Features make it easy to use at a great price
So easy to use. Arms flip back but are still attached in an easy to reach position. Fits easily through my tight master bath doorway. Firm seat. Even though the brakes are on the back wheels I can still reach them while seated on the seat so it’s secure when I transfer myself off the seat to a new location. So far the only downsides are:1. It's somewhat difficult to navigate on carpet and difficult to move if the wheel gets stuck in the wrong direction2. Obviously, much easier to use on carpet when someone else is pushing you.2. The hole that the swing-back arm locks into is a bit higher than I would have designed. An inch lower than the seat would have been perfect. If I don't cover it when transferring, it can be uncomfortable on your butt or legs. All things considered however, I really love this transfer chair and I highly recommend it.

Best investment ever!
This chair has saved me 4 times in 2 years. It is so comfortable, solid, maneuverable.. I have MS so my balance doesn't allow me to use crutches. I broke my ankle, it was casted wrong and I hurt it 3 more times- needing my chair during the healing processes. It is the BEST! Even the worker at the ER commented on how nice it is and about well it moves. 1000% recommended!!!

plastic holders for arms broke after a few uses
Great chair, but the plastic holder for the armrest are garbage. One broke after a few months, so we don't try to put the other one down. She now only has one armrest because the plastic broke and the arm won't stay on the chair. Bad decision made by the manufacturer. They should hold up for everyday use, which means the arms are going up and down. Looking for replacement with a better system for the armrest
