I double side all of my wood and acrylic with this stuff. I’ve had it stick to itself a couple of times as other users have stated but if you pay attention it’s quick to catch. I use it on everything that goes under the laser.

Perfect peel, perfect tension, appearance was very good, no residue, perfect for the job required!

I think I got a bad roll. This is horrible. I've been fighting it for months. It is very difficult to unroll. It sticks to itself but only when trying to unroll it. The paper is separating from the adhesive. It is also doing this weird thing where it is hard to get a continuous 12 inch section to unroll without tearing. I just had to waste a couple feet of it to get it to start peeling correctly for another couple feet. Now it is back to doing what it was. It also doesn't stick to anything very good. As a result, I'm getting flashes of the laser between the masking and the product and it is ruining the products.

Bought this to use for laser engravings. Is exceedingly difficult to peel off the roll, rips easily and one ends up wasting a lot of material to get a piece that one can use. Might be a batch issue with the roll that I got as other customers have stated that they had similar issues with a recent roll, while previous rolls did not present the same issue. But that problem alone will prevent me from buying this product again. There are plenty of competing products available, so I will not take the chance again.Once peeled off, it is not overly sticky, but pressed down it stays on the wood and does what it is supposed to do when laser engraving on wood.For reasons above, I would not recommend this product.UPDATE (End Jan 2025):TapeManBlue reached out to me based on my review and sent me a new role of tape to try. This one works as advertized and especially comes off the roll easily, does not rip and is much easier to work with. My suspicion also echoed by some other reviewers was that it was a batch issue and not a general product problem. Now I am happy with the product and thus the revised review.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this stuff. I bought it as masking for laser cutting on a recommendation for specifically this brand. It is very difficult to peel without it tearing, I've wasted a lot of it. I might have to rig up some kind of mount like is done for paper towels so I can use both hands to unroll it. I only knocked off one star for it sticking better to itself than to anything else, even after burnishing it with a big Cricut roller. I may add the star back on if I come to the conclusion that it is user error and not product error, lol.

I’m very pleased with how in works. It’s not very sticky on bare basswood but acrylic over wood makes it just sticky enough to hold down!

Ugh. I can't get 12 inches rolled off this tube without it peeling and tearing the layer underneath on the roll, or the upper layer I'm rolling off! It's also much lower tack than I thought it would be. Once I actually get enough GOOD tape from the roll, and I apply it to adhesive vinyl, I have to peel it up quickly in short bursts for the tape to adhere enough to the vinyl to actually pick it up. If I peel it up too slowly, it won't adhere enough to pull the vinyl with it. The older transfer tape I ran out of was super sticky, which is what I prefer.
