World of Eric Carle The Very Hungry Caterpillar Magnifying Glass for Kids

Bought as a gift for a 3-yr old and he was absolutely in love! We spent a good amount of time moving it up close to fingers and toes and trucks and crayons and then pulling away and giggling to pieces as it appeared to get bigger under the lens. The handle is a good size for little hands and the caterpillar decoration is an adorable touch. I bought it as part of a nature-themed gift that I assembled from this as well as  Prextex Metal, Sturdy Garden Tools, Kids Garden Tool Set Includes Canvas Tote and 4 Garden Tools with Adorable Bugs as Tool Handles  and  World of Eric Carle, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Binoculars . Both match well and are sturdy fun options for a gift set.

We have opened up a new world for our 3 year old great grandson. His older brother and sister have magnifierglasses- now he can look into a different world of bugs and leaves and who knows what with the big kids!

This broke within an hour of opening the package. It was very inexpensive and you get what you pay for. I'm surprised that Eric Carle has his name associated with it.

Kids love this book so they love the magnifying glass just because it's a caterpillar! As a magnifying glass though, the quality is pretty poor and my year old boy was able to pop it apart and send the plastic lens flying into his sisters eye. So if you have rambunctious children, you might want to look for a sturdier toy ;)

Beautiful and top quality materials and craftmaship

This is a great toy for curious kids and Eric Carle lovers as well!! Very sturdy, and fits well into the palm of small hands.Great for critter hunting in the garden, or searching for tiny indoor treasure. But, watch out Mom, your little explorer is going to find"dust bunnies" with this!!

The handle fell off right away but it was a cute gift for my 3 year old.

I bought two of these at the same time. One was broken upon arrival, and the other broke shortly after from my kids' use. Next time I'll stick to splurging on the real deal. These are cute for sure, but okay quality at best.

Broke after 2 days! Not impressed. Ordered the Melissa and Doug one at the same time and it's much better quality.
