Almost Perfect
My son locked himself out of his house and we had to pry open the lock on the MDF door. This left a terrible mess! I called around to see how much a new door would cost and there were quotes between $2,200-2,600!. Jumped on Amazon and found this product. Easy ro install and looks great. TIP: you may need larger screws for your lockset as the sleeve adds about a 1/8 of an inch to the door. I would recommend this product!

good product
needs to change the way the corners are bent to give the metal more room to flow around the corners of the door. Pus it needs more holes at the outside edges. I had to modify it slightly for this reason. and it could be one size thicker for most door spacing.

Good Quality
They fit perfectly for my doors and are exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately since I ordered a large quantity, they arrived in 2 smaller boxes instead of 1 large box. Good purchase and they gave lasted for several months so far with a lot of of abuse.

GREAT FIX FOR DAMAGED DOOR
Had a door handle had broken through the wood. This was a secure and economical fix. Worked great.

description incorrect/ product though is excellent
your description of the product says 2 3/8 backset but the line art drawing says 2 3/4 backset.fortunately I went to manufacturers website which showed 2 3/4 backset which is the one I needed

Great Product
I remodel and many times homeowners install door hardware and don't drill the holes properly; in my case the older door was just a mess so this was a positive fix. It did restore security to the existing door and was really easy to install. It has my full 5-star support.

Standard size does not fit fifty year old door
In the 1970's sizes are sized different from todays standard sizes. Some worked had to be done to the door to make it fit
