Kari Traa Women's Rose Base Layer Top - Half Zip 100% Merino Wool Thermal Shirt

I decided on the Kari Traa brand after a lot of looking into it and smart wool. First, this brand is so much cuter than plain black or grey. I know no one will really see it most of the time, but I'd be comfortable stripping down in lodges and walking around in my thermals with these, which is huge for relaxing, cooling down, and mid-day meals.Now for the material. This (after researching since it doesn't say on Amazon) is 200 g merino wool. Base layers range from 190-250 generally. Smartwool uses 250, and is noticeably warmer. I wore this around my house with my thermostat set to 65, and was a bit chilled. I'm often colder than everyone around me, though. I'm sure this would be fine for a normal person.The wool is a bit scratcher than other brands I've tried, but is still well within what I'd call comfortable. Overall, I think it's a great, cheaper alternative to smartwool!

The fit is perfect. Order up from your usual size. I am 5' 6", 140 lbs, 38-29-40 and am a classic medium and size 8, but I ordered a large, which is fitted but not tight, and it's also long enough (comes down over my hips a bit). The small would have been too tight I bet. I could layer another piece under it as long as it wasn't a bulky piece. The wool is comfortable, no itching at all, and the garment is well made. I love that I could get this in a "girl color", the pink (more mauve really), because wearing black and grey all the time gets old.

I work on wind turbines and have to wear all natural fibers. That is how I came across this base layer. I love them. I ordered the top and bottoms wore them three days in a row when I first got them. I liked them so much I ordered another set with a hood. I am 5ft tall and weight about 130 pounds. The small fits great. I work outside all day in the winter, this is a great base layer. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because I'd like it to be a thicker wool, for work. Also it is pricey for just a base layer but so far worth it. Outside of work I give it 5 stars because they are the perfect thickness for snowboarding and other outdoor activities.

I bought this and the matching merino wool pants. I liked the top. It fit well. Was comfortable. But when I tried on the pants, they were see-through on the side so I decided to return everything. I'm now looking for other merino wool items that can be worn alone or under other clothing. I loved the pattern.

I bought these for a backpacking trip which I have not taken yet.I'm 5'1" tall and weigh 123 lbs. Small top and medium bottom fit perfectly. The sleeves and legs are too long (I expect this) but not too long.The zip top is sexy.I'm happy with how light and packable these will be. They are not bulky. Very flattering.

This purchase was a splurge for me, so I had high expectations. These were met, perhaps exceeded, in terms if comfort, warmth, and fit. What I had not expected was just how flattering it is. I love the quarter zip for days when it's really chilly but when my body heats up from skiing or snow-shoeing. It's a simple way to adjust the layer. Very glad I purchased!

Yes, it fits in the smaller side but it is a base layer not a sweater and therefore should fit snugly. Nice and soft; feels similar to my larger me brand wool items. Seems well constructed. Love the pattern. Just wish it had thumb holes and the zipper seems to unzip a little too easily under a little horizontal stress.

I have worn this as a base layer for outdoor boot camp in the 20s and skiing in the wind. I love that it is a natural fiber and keeps me warm and looks good. I have found I end up stripping down just to this layer on top, when I'm exercising in the 30s. Very happy with this product.

A beautiful sweater. Had one for 10 years and it’s a good as new . Love her products. Ordered a large witch was a bit big for me.
