Fantastic
This is a great pack for traveling, hiking, biking or whatever else outdoor activity. I've used it mostly for bicycling on a weekly basis. Recently took it with me on several excursions and it worked perfectly. I put it through some rough areas and the material stood tough. The fit I'd perfect I am 310 lbs and it fits me well. The hydration pack holds enough water for my needs and there is plenty of storage for a day hike.

Great pick for hiking!
I replaced an older Camelbak with this and it was a great choice because it has enough storage and a 3 L bladder for long hikes. The material and zippers are very durable. So far, I have used it on 7 long hikes and it works well.Important note: I have read some reviews that complained about leakage. This happened to me on one hike, but I realized that it was due to my error of not sealing the lid of the bladder well enough. To check for proper sealing, it is best to invert the full bladder for several seconds to check for leaks. After the one instance of leaking, I have not had any other problems after being more aware of the potential sealing problem.

Versatile
This has a lot of nice pockets but it doesn’t come with the cover over the bite tube cover

Great quality
The 3l bladder kept me hydrated. Light but adequate storage.

Great bike pak, fairly compact, but 3L for the water has been great!
It’s been a great pak for longer bike rides, especially down here in the Florida heat. I will easily drink through the entire pak when riding just 25 miles one way, then I reload at a nice rest stop near the beach (they have a huge water cooler that everyone passing by can use), and then I’ll ride back another 25 miles. For water fountains in other areas, I’ll use my water bottle to collect water from the fountain, then pour it into the pak to reload it that way, so it’s still very helpful to have a water bottle on the bike since most places just have water fountains, not large water coolers with spouts. Don’t count on reloading your pak directly from an older water fountain, that won’t happen easily.I haven’t really put my helmet on the pak, it doesn’t make much sense to me and doesn’t seem practical. It’s more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe others have used the clips and like it, but I think it’s just a marketing feature, it’s not useful to me and it certainly isn’t very secure. The pak has also been used out on the West Rim trail and the Narrows at Zion (though I had to be careful and lift the pack over my head at some points since the algae blooms were in effect at the time, couldn’t let the narrows water touch the drinking water pack). I could never have done either day hike without the pak, especially part of the west rim, it starts just past angle’s landing at scouts lookout, and goes out to an overlook that very few people go to, which was excellent, except for the doe that ran by on the mountain side switchbacks. I’m just glad it wasn’t a mountain lion or that would have definitely been the last hike! It’s not like they let you bring protection into Zion! That day hike was just a solid 10 miles, and there is absolutely no where to reload on water, so the pak made all the difference for hydration during summer 2020 out at Zion. Great multi use hydration pak, but definitely only use it for single day hikes, you obviously can’t store much of anything in it!

Not as good as the model it replaced.
I use this for bicycle rides up to 4 hours. On a hot day, I'll drink all 3 liters of water and more so I need a large capacity hydration pack. I also pack food, CO2, spare tube, compact tools and a few sheets of toilet paper. All those items earned their spot in my pack at one time or another. My old Camelbak Lobo was a champion, but after 10 years of faithful service, the fabric on the zippered pockets just wore out. So every aspect of the new Lobo will be compared to the old.HYDRATION: This is really why you buy a hydration pack and Camelbak makes one of the best. Both the old and new design uses a fill port large enough to fit my XXL paw inside for cleaning. While the new port is threaded and takes about a half turn to seal, the old port had a cam closure that would seal after a quarter turn. If you don't really tighten the cap securely, the new design will leak. This has happened several times. The old cap had a "hinge" at the bottom and flopped out of the way when you were adding ice and water. The new Lobo has a "hinge" at the top and flops down, covering the port when you're trying to fill it. It either takes three hands or and awkward technique to keep the cap out of the way. Old port design wins big.The new drinking tube is long enough to trim to your particular taste. The bite valve hasn't changed over the years. The shut-off valve is slightly better on the new Lobo. New drink tube wins. The old bladder was held securely in place around the fill port with fabric and hook-and-loop. It took two separate zippers to raise a storage pocket to expose the fill port. The new bladder is held in its pocket by a single zipper and its fill handle. The fill port has a T-shaped hook, but there is nothing for it to hook onto. Old and new tie on this one.PACK: This is the second part of the name "hydration pack", but it's still important for carrying all your other stuff. Both old and new designs have multiple separate compartments and an expandable stuff-pocket. The difference is the old design for the pockets were completely external. By this I mean filling the bladder to max capacity wouldn't take away room for storage. The new design is a little sleeker to look at, but if you pack the inner pocket full of supplies, you won't get your full 3l of water capacity. The new pack has hooks for carrying a bicycle helmet, but I always carry my bicycle helmet on my head to protect my brain in a crash. Who thought these hooks were a good idea?. Old Lobo pack wins big.ERGONOMICS: The new pack has a stiff board in the back to help airflow through the cushioned area. The board might also protect your spine in certain kinds of falls. The old pack was more flexible and conformed to the shape of your back. More contact eases pressure points, but inhibits airflow. If you ride in the cold, this might be a good thing. Another thing about the stiff back board is it makes it harder to load ice cubes into the bladder for hot days. This one comes down to personal preference, but I like the old design better. The shoulder straps on both Lobos are well padded and mesh-ventilated. Both have adjustable chest straps, but the new design has a longer range of adjustment. The new Lobo also comes standard with a magnetic tube keeper. This is really handy and easy to use once you get the hang of unclipping it. I never use the waist straps so I'm glad they detach easily. Both designs are the same and really cheap so I didn't feel bad about throwing them away. New Lobo wins.If it seems like I'm hard on the new design, it's only because the old one was so good. So why did I buy this new one? They don't sell the old one. And even with its flaws, it was still better for my needs than anything else I found on the market. Now a word about their lifetime warranty. Sounds pretty good, huh? Except it doesn’t warrantee the product for your lifetime, but the products, lifetime, whatever that means. They explain it to mean they expect the materials to wear out and you can’t expect warranty coverage past normal wear and tear material lifetime expectancy. I think that’s a weenie way of redefining lifetime warranty, but that’s just my opinion.
