I've been a huge fan of the #16 blade for years since art school. Now, as a semi-pro artist/crafter (and a pro designer), I can't be playing with less-than-optimal blades. These blades last longer than the #11 blades and way longer than any other #16 and work far better for cutting mattes, paper, metal foil, cardboard, adhesives, even wiring and woods. Lots of uses, well worth the coin for some great blades. Best used with a straight edge or you can cut what you didn't mean to cut.

Perfect Etching Tool
This is the perfect etching tool. I use these blades on etching pictures on dyed eggs. I don't etch Easter pictures, but every day things like flowers that I have seen, or a tree, etc. But I needed a blade that would etch tiny, detailed, intricate designed lines, and this blade did it for me. It would work for any type of work like stenciling as well. The point has to be pin point sharp, and this blade does the trick.

The blades don't fit properly in the x-acto blade handle it stick out

Good product for detailed cutting. Better than #11.
I used #16 blades in the pre-computer days for graphic design production. These are exactly what I remember. . . sharp and sturdy. The tip does not break off like the #11s, also smaller cutting edge so fewer accidents. In the old days #11s were only used for cutting foam board, but #16s are sturdy enough for thick matt board without loosing the tip and were the mainstay of the design firm production artists I art directed.

Great Replacement Blades
Prefer these to #11. The tips don't break off and the blade is only sharp where you need it.

I was looking for exacto blades that the tips dont snap off! These work GREAT! and I dont feel bad that Im not using all of the blade, because the blade is so small. Im happy.
