I agree with a previous reviewer—“sjbailey"—that this Tudor royal standard is not intended to be flown on a pole, as I had planned, or suspended in a manner where both its obverse and reverse are equally visible. It is instead ideal for wall displays, for exhibiting only its obverse. The design is printed in full color on that side of the standard. While the design can be seen on the reverse in sunlight, when flown outside, its colors and overall appeal on that side are far more subdued than on the obverse. Disappointed.

We bought this flag because we have a "Tudor revival" style home and thought it would be fun to hang this out front to compliment the theme. We were pleasantly surprised when we got it with both the quality and the vibrant colors and now after a year of sun and storm abusing it we got our second one. The original would have probably lasted longer if we had replaced the flagpole it is on because that gets stuck sometimes and it caused a small tear on the edge.I would definitely recommend buying any flags from this company considering how well made and reasonably priced they are.

This is a nice flag. However, since it is polyester it would fade very quickly outside. However, it is hard to find flags made of heavy cotton or linen with fade resistant color.

I am a British history buff, & this flag is a perfect symbol of my affection. The colors are very bright, & the flag flies beautifully outside my house. I have flashes of the glory of a country almost 2000 years old every time I look at it flutter in the breeze. This flag was present at the defeat of the Spanish Armada, a feat thought impossible at the time. And it symbolizes a people that never gave up in the face of the most incredible odds. I'm proud to have that English blood in my veins.

This flag is reasonably priced. I would not expect to hang it outside permanently.
