It was dangerously sharp out the box. It’s very brittle but can hold an edge. Needs a cover. Very nice!

Gave this to my son. Huge hit. To start with, The knife is beautiful. The Damascus steel and wooden handle are simply gorgeous. But the five star part of this review is all about the blade, steel, and sharpness. Our family loves to cook and we have many knives from many manufacturers. So far this one rises to the top. Beautiful knife good value very sharp

Slicing tomatoes and onions isn't a problem, with the thin design the slices don't stick and you can go very thin. It's my go to knife for all things and it's light, very little strain on wrists.

Go too classic chefs knife, as a chef I’ve tried them all and the quality of the classic shun is right up there with small business hand made $800 knife’s. Love the addition of the blonde handles bought a new set for my home kitchen.
