My father busted out a set of hemostats while we were working on a project together. They were thick and robust, and I had to have one. I did a quick search on Amazon and ordered this set of 2. They had pretty good reviews. While the actual jaws seem somewhat precise, they were skinny and very rough in construction compared to his. I think they will be fine for what I might use them for, but they aren't high quality.You know what? I just looked at the price I paid a couple weeks ago. Go ahead and buy them for 8 bucks. Just with a price check to remind myself, 3 star to 4.

Broke on first use
Uses straight pair to clamp fuel hose successfully but as soon as I tried the rounded pair on another fuel hose it broke.

These are a must if you groom your dog at home and need to pluck their ears. They are sturdy, easy to clean and a good size.

Low Quality
Rough, not full polished like the picture. The teeth are misaligned and do not mesh on either pair. The straight pair binds at the scissor pivot; not bad but enough to feel. Not smooth action. Good enough for fishing. Made in Pakistan.
