These hammers turned out to be very decent practice implements. Used by a high caliber thrower.

Good hammers for the price
Good hammers for the price, and since I'm only working with high schoolers in the summer I'm not going to buy a premium hammer. The handle and wires are better quality than I've seen elsewhere at this price point. Arrived quickly.

Good practice implement
Handle is fine; ball is fine. Good for practice. Wrap the wires well or they will unwrap after a dozen throws or so. Good value but I wonder about the integrity of the wire. Time will tell.

Bad handles
These are good practice hammers however the handles are very poor quality. I've had 3 of them bend after one throw. You can't beat the price but I would recommend replacing the handle before taking full throws.

Hammer Complete!
As a senior athlete I wanted my own implements so I could practice more often than weekly. This was a great bargain and it came complete and ready to start using. Perfect for me! Great price too.

quality hammers
I like Amazon track and field implement so much that I recently purchased a 2,3,4,5,6 KG hammer and shot put. A 1.5, 1.0, and .75 KG discus. A 700,600,500, and 400 gram javelins. They were all donated to WIU for their USATF governed Senior Olympics and are great.

Great hammer at a very reasonable price, it’s ideal for practice and development of athletes. Very sturdy it’s what I expected. Great product very pleased with purchase.

To start off with I was surprized that I recieved a handle and wire with the hammer at this price. I paid more for just a handle last year. After taking a few dozen throws (including several into a cage) I would say this is a very good product for the price. If you are looking for a practice hammer or a start-off hammer for beginners (my 11-year old daughter throws it too) this is a fine product. The accompanying handle and wire are also good value.
