DeltaFaucet Windemere Single-Function Tub and Shower Trim Kit with Single-Spray Shower Head, Chrome BT14496 (Valve Not Included)

We bought 3 of these in August of 2015 as we began to build our house. The first two worked great. We finally installed the third one in the summer of 2018 and there was almost no flow. We knew the house had good pressure. My husband switched it out with all the other identical faucets and narrowed the issue down tho the shower head. He took the shower head apart and saw that there was plumbers tape and/or plumbers puty dough clogging it up. he took a pocket knife and cleaned it out. Now the third one works as good as the first twoOn a side (unrelated ) note he also found the the water restrict-or and removed it. Without that restrictor governing the water flow it proved too much pressure for our small shower so he reinstalled the flow pressure restricter.

As with my review of the faucets, I should have read other reviews more carefully. This is NOT ready to use, the rough ins are not included. A ridiculous price for what it is. My husband has been a contractor for 30 years and has never seen this before. Have had to order more parts to install.

Good set, I've bought 3 sets now. They all work great. One thing I missed on the first install is you can adjust the shower knob to turn it on full blast at the perfect temp every time. Adjust the gray knob before you put the finished handle on. Aside from that little mistake install was easy on all three sets.

This kit was easy to install and worked fine for updating an older 13 series tub/shower faucet with one exception. The tub spout that was provided in my kit is the type that slides directly onto a copper pipe stub. The old Delta tub spout that I was replacing is the type that screws onto a threaded fitting that was sweated onto the copper stub. If you have that configuration and don't want to make plumbing changes, purchase one of the update kits that does not include a tub spout and then purchase the appropriate spout separately.

These fixtures are solid; very well made. I'm very happy with the purchase. I can't comment on how easy the installation was, as my contractor did everything, but I did need to buy a valve and drain separately (both can also be found on amazon) so keep that in mind when buying these.

Aesthetically, this shower faucet set is perfect. But it’s far from that. We’ve had 2 plumbers working on our house and both told us it’s borderline plastic. The back of the shower handle doesn’t screw to the shower wall perfectly flush - we learned this the hard way. Water ended up getting slowly getting behind it and created water dripping behind the wall down to the first floorInto our kitchen. The water ended up caving in to our kitchen. Also, the handle to the faucet completely snapped off after just installing it. So long story short, I should have just spent a little more and got a better set. This faucet has now caused me thousands of dollars in damage and amazon won’t even friggin let me return it at this point! Also, after the fact, I don’t even believe this was a delta set. It doesn’t say delta anywhere on it.

After reading a little more into the installation of this shower head before returning there is a restriction o ring (in the head where it connects to the arm of the head) that helps this head save water. If you want more pressure, simply remove that restriction ring and the pressure is powerful. If you need help there is a you tube video that was super helpful. 2 minute fix !Original review... If you are looking for a pretty shower head, this is what you will get. If you are looking for a intensely powerful shower head like the description says, keep looking. We went through all the trouble of installing it to find that this shower head trickles water. Very disappointing!

Installed the Windemere faucet set (oil rubbed bronze) as part of a kids bathroom refurbishment. Uses the Delta Faucet R10000-UNBX MultiChoice(R) Universal Tub and Shower Valve Body rough in valve which is sold separably. Finish seems sturdy and the shower flow is decent but not overly strong. Note that the handle only goes from the off position (as shown in the product image) to full in the up position. So, you only have 90 degrees of travel from off to max/hot.

Due to Covid, no plumber could come install until last week. He said this unit is no good and I had to go buy another one - however- it says I cannot return - it was never used, and in its box but not suitable.

Haven't installed yet but, looks great.

Changed shower head, faucet, handle and cartridge. Cartridge worked for 3 months without a single drip of water coming from the faucet but is now leaking again. For the price they should last a lot longer.
