My First Memory Foam Mattress - Great!
So after seeing this deal posted on another site, I jumped on the California King. I'm a 165 lb. active male who does strain his back every once and awhile. The last mattress, although comfortable, didn't help the tension I had in my lower back. So here's my review (1 being the worst, 5 being the best).COMFORT - 5 out of 5:I was a bit scared at first since this was my first memory foam mattress. I like to sleep cold and on a firm mattress, both of which memory foam doesn't highlight. I was extremely surprised that that wasn't the case for me. The mattress does warm up to your body, but not to an uncomfortable temperature. Likewise, I was surprised how firm the mattress was. It was much firmer than my spring mattress which I thought was semi-firm. If you like a firm mattress, this mattress might be a good option.QUALITY - 5 out of 5:The mattress' box was torn up when it arrived. I don't blame the UPS guy since it was nearly 70 lbs, but the mattress was in good condition. The cover was soft and the foam reacts like one would imagine it would. Aside from the box, the mattress was rolled up in layers of plastic and well protected. It also comes with a 20 year guarantee. I'm not really sure how many of us really will use a mattress warranty, but I doubt it's an easy process being that it's a mattress. Shipping this thing anywhere would cost you a price of a new mattress. Maybe they cover shipping?SMELL - 4 out of 5:I've read lots of articles online about a terrible smell and odor once it's open, but it really wasn't that terrible. It wasn't like I couldn't sleep on it. It smelled new more than anything. But I did take off 1-rating here just because this is a personal preference. Some might have sensitive noses, others not so much. So if you do have a sensitive nose, consider waiting a day before sleeping on it. The smell isn't unbearable at all, just artificial.PAIN RELIEF - 5 out of 5 (for now):It was comfortable and my lower back felt like it was well-at-ease during the night - something my old mattress did not do. I'm not really one of those people who believes that memory foam can cure aches and pains, but we'll see down the road. At this very moment, I like the pressure on my lower back.OVERALL - 5 out of 5:Honestly, this is the best mattress I've slept on. It's firm, contours to my lower back, and is overall comfortable. I'm very content with the mattress, especially for the price.SET UP:I wanted to get a folding bed frame but couldn't deal with the issue of squeaking. So I built my own platform frame for this mattress out of hardwood. The mattress is laying across 6 wood planks and I cannot feel the planks at all. No squeaking as of now.Hope this helps someone!

Great Item
We recently purchased a new 5th wheel camper. Although we are very pleased with the camper, the bed that came with it left much to be desired, and usually resulted in both me and the wife waking up with sore backs, or not being able to sleep at all. A few years ago, we had purchased a "memory foam" mattress from a local retailer for our house, and have loved the thing ever since we got it, however, I could not justify spending almost 2K on a mattress for a camper. So, I headed onto Amazon to see what was available. After doing some poking around, and reading the many reviews on this product, I decided to pull the trigger. Our Lucid Memory Foam 8 inch queen sized matress showed up when promised, was packed very well, and showed up in good shape. The day I got it, we were headed out with the camper, so it got thrown into the back of the truck, and installed as soon as I got to the campground. I let it "puff up" or "inflate" for about 8 hours before I hit the sack that night. I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED with how nice and comfortable this matress is, and have no regrets in buying this. I was so impressed with this, I showed it to all of our camping friends as well, who could not beleive the comfort and cost of the matress; they will all be ordering them for their campers as well. If you are like me and reading all of the reviews on here, here is a couple of notes for you:1. Yes, it does smell like latex paint when you first open it up, this is normal, AND IT WILL FADE. Our $2000 matress had the same issue. If the smell is too much for you, get a $5 vinyl matress cover with a zipper, and wrap the mattress, you will hardly notice the smell, if at all.2. The people who have woke up with the "horrible rashes", I am guessing that they have a "latex" allergy, of course laying on something made of latex is going to cause a reaction.3. Memory Foam matresses are heavier then traditional mattresses, therefore, it might not be such a hot idea to throw these on top of a worn out box spring, I would highly recommend a "platform" style bed frame.4. Like I said, these are a little heavier, which I was afraid of considering our camper has a "hinged" bed to allow for storage. For this reason, I went with a 8 inch mattress, yes it is heavier, but my wife has no problem opening the bed to get to the storage underneath. If you are like me, and wanting this for a camper, pull the trigger like I did, you will be very satisfied with this purchase.BCW

However over the period of time we are getting used to it slowly and now able to sleep a good night sleep without any issues on
It could be that we are not used to the Memory Foam concept, however we both did feel a little bit uneasiness during the first week when we slept on it, even though we followed the instructions to the T. Also, even after a month its not completely inflated to 8 inches but close to 7. However over the period of time we are getting used to it slowly and now able to sleep a good night sleep without any issues on this mattress. We combined this with the CorLiving BIM-909-K San Diego Leatherette Upholstered King Bed which was also ordered from Amazon and is an amazing addition to our bedroom. I am still considering putting a mattress topper for added comfort and will decide later depending on the experience. This memory foam mattress runs on the firm side and is not plush, if that is what you are looking for.

softer firmness than expected
It wasn't comfortable in the first couple of weeks. We even felt back pain. but after you get used to it. It is not that bad.

Sooooo comfortable
Amazing mattress, bought this mattress probably 3 or 4 months ago and since then I’ve been sleeping like a baby, after years of having an uncomfortable mattress this mattress felt like heaven. It’s not too firm and not crazy soft that you fall into it.You do somewhat sink into the bed and can leave an indent after waking up in the morning (which bounces back quickly after)
