Adonit Note - M Mouse Sensor Pencil, Click Buttons, Touch Sensitive Scrolling, Palm Rejection Stylus for iPad Pro 3rd & 4th Gen, iPad 6, 7, 8, 9th Generation, iPad Air 3rd, 4th, iPad Mini 5th 6th

I have to admit, I was skeptical! I purchased this to have an on the go mouse to use with my iPad that I could simply slip into the holder on the back of my case. I love the Apple Pencil so I don't use the stylus end very much...except when I am using the mouse because you can't have the Apple Pencil and the Andonit stylus connected at the same time! But that really isn't a big deal! The Andonit is easy to switch back and forth between stylus and mouse. If I had one suggestion it would be the scrolling begin a bit more responsive. It could be me being used to the trackball mouse I use at my desk. Overall, it was a great purchase and I love using this for my on the go mouse..slim and easy to carry in situations where I don't want to lug my trackball mouse around.

Unfortunately, while the description said the mouse is compatible with the new iPads, it only is if you download their app on an older iPad in order to update the pencil. Therefore, the mouse part of the pencil is worthless to me. I was really looking forward to using this as it would be a handy tool for work.I had been emailing with the Adonit support team. Their replies were confusing, but we finally got that straightened out. I told them the current upgrade process would not work for me, as I don't have an ipad that fits the criteria (must have iOS between 13.3 and 14.4), so I asked if they were planning to implement another way of updating the Note-M. However, the support team will no longer return my emails. So, I'm guessing they are not.

I was excited to try this pen out with my new iPad and everything worked great until about a couple of days after receiving it. I'm thinking I received a defective product since I was able to hover the pen over my desk to use the mouse function, at first, whereas now I basically have to make direct contact with my desk in order to get the mouse to work. Hopefully, I'll be able to contact the seller about the issue and find a resolution.UPDATE: I was able to get a replacement fairly quickly. Just note that this product does not work with the M1 2021 iPad

I loved the idea for this, but ended up sending it back after a few weeks for the following reasons:1) It felt very lightweight and fragile. I'm sure it would not survive being sat upon or being dropped on any kind of hard surface.2) The magnetic attachment was weak even though the stylus was light-weight. I used it with the Targus VersaVu Classic Folio case, which has an indentation for it, but it never felt secure there (maybe due to the combination of weak magnet and the magnets being placed with the wrong spacing inside the stylus).3) It has too many buttons and I was always turning it off accidentally during use.4) Battery standby time was poor. It always needed charging even when used infrequently and when not using the mouse function.5) The low-battery indicator light didn't work for me. It was supposed to show red when the battery is low, but it just showed blue and then turned itself off, which initially made me think something else was wrong but charging fixed it.6) No replacement tips / nibs are provided and the tiny tips unscrew themselves and fall out mysteriously.

This is a really good stylus. It feels kind of cheap and fragile, but it works. I love the mouse functionality as now the stylus is a pencil and a mouse. I wish it were cheaper, but it is well worth it if you use your iPad a lot.

I've had this pen since August. It's pretty ok as far as actual use, but the Adonit brand case I bought in the bundle with it presses the button while traveling, so the battery is just about always dead when I go to use it.Then, by the end of October... it has stopped holding a charge. An initial email to support received a response asking for video proof of it not charging. I don't believe this is a reasonable request for a product that should still be functioning as if it were new.I should not be wasting time contactinf them at all, let alone more time proving the product is defective or sending messages that have not received responses for days - two additional emails and a chat through messenger... so I continue to sit on this stylus that is completely unusable after 3 months.

Buttons get stuck and tip unscrews and falls off

Bought to use with 8th gen iPad. Verified model number was compatible with Note-m on Adonit website before purchase. Stylus works fine, however mouse would not pair with iPad. Contacted support, was told to download Adonit one app and update stylus. When I tried to update stylus with app, got message that I needed a device with iOS 14.4 or older to update stylus. I contacted support who confirmed this. They would not confirm if there was a plan to update the Adonit one app to be able to update the stylus for iOS newer than 14.4 and suggested I get a refund. This iOS compatibility should be listed on the Adonit website and on the Amazon product listing.

The pen wouldn't pair with my iPad 3rd Gen (A2152). Then it failed to charge so I returned it (assuming the first problem was due to the second) and ordered a replacement. This too failed to pair so I contacted Adonit support (who, to be fair, were responsive and the sole reason this review is two stars not one). However, they had no solution beyond suggesting I find someone with an iPad running an old version (<14.4) of IOS who could lend it to me to download the Adonit One App to update the pen. I started the search but, after 48 hours, this pen also gave up on charging and completely died. They also confirmed they have no plans to update either the pen or the App to run on current versions of IOS.In short, this is a product which is advertised as compatible with the iPad Air 3rd Gen but it isn't and it also seems prone to serious quality problems (or else I have just been very unlucky to have been sent two duds). Avoid.

A caneta funciona muito bem com iPad (no meu caso que tenho um iPad Air 4th), tem boa resposta, é muito confortável.Mas infelizmente, a função de rato não funciona a partir da versão iPadOS 14.5 até à atualidade. (Até à data de hoje). Falei com a assistência técnica direta da Adonit, o que foram pouco acessíveis, a única coisa que me disseram é que a caneta necessita de uma atualização de Firmware, pode ser feito através da app “Adonit One”, mas SÓ ATÉ à versão iPadOS 14.4, nas versões atuais não é possível. (Até à data de hoje) Como já tenho o meu iPad atualizado no iPadOS 15 e já não consigo fazer downgrade do sistema até à versão 14.4, nem tenho mais nenhum equipamento que seja compatível, não consigo usar a função de rato da caneta.

Il pennino in se non è male, il problema grosso è il posizionamento dei tasti totalmente fuori luogo. Il rischio di toccare inavvertitamente il tasto e fare switch tra le varie modalità di utilizzo non lo rende assolutamente un vantaggio.Per il prezzo pagato mi aspettavo molto di più

Bought on impulse just for the gimmick but now superuse it in multitasking workflows between iPad Pro (with magic keyboard),iPad Air and my Mac, works incredibly well as both mouse and stylus-switches at the press of a button on each end, mouse button is touch sensitive supports forward backwards scrolling and both right/left click no problems also has palm rejection. Magnetically attaches like Apple Pencil, charges by usb c input on the side but cannot be used while charging.If you use your tablet on a stand but with no keyboard you should absolutely purchase this. I have tested all of these functions on iPad 6th gen, iPad Air 2020 and iPad Pro 2020.Negative points: Charge can run down FAST when used as a mouse - steep learning curve getting used to switching modes and right left click/scrolling feels very strange to begin with.
