I'm still deciding if I like it. -- STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK
Originally I got the smaller size, but returned it for this one. I like this size a lot better. It heats up nicely, but the massage function could be better. I don't like that it turns off after 15 minutes. The weight of the heating pad is nice and helps to alleviate some of my discomfort. I read a lot of reviews saying the product only lasted for about a year, so I got the 3 year warranty. To update: THE HEATING PAD STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK. I AM FURIOUS!Update: The heating pad was definitely good the week it worked, so I was extremely disappointed when it stopped working. The customer service is top notch and they will take care of you in the event your luck is as bad as mine. I am leaving 5 stars based on the customer service. I would highly recommend the protection plan just in case.

Does the job, works well
I bought the weighted heating pad that also massages. I am glad I bought it; it works quite well. It heats up quickly, and the heat is fairly consistent. The weight is perfect. It isn't too heavy, which is good for my spinal problems.I knocked off one star because the weighted beads do shift a bit more than I expected and also because the massage function is too loud. There are three massage functions on each level (low, medium, high), but it's hard to tell much of a difference between the second and third massage styles. The massage function cuts off after 15 minutes. On the whole, I do rather like the heating pad and am considering buying a second because my daughter keeps taking it.TLDR: recommended, just be aware of the loud massage function and the weight beads moving around some.

Life changing!
Y'all this is life changing!I was skeptical bc of price but nah, yall it's like healing childhood trauma while drifting off to sleep. Hear me out. It's a 5lb weighted heating pad with massage options. I've been having a hard time turning off the “to do list function” at bedtime. So I decided to try it out (was actually going to return but said what the heck, if it sucks I'll for sure return it.) so back to the review. I tried it the last two nights and y'all, I didn't even need the deep sleep rem music! It does get pretty hot so I'd recommend trying which heat setting is most comfortable for you long term before bed time. So this review is mainly for the belly down sleepers. How to sleep like a baby: get in to your sleeping area; if you want to fall asleep faster preheat the pad and also have hearing pad within reach while getting comfy; position the pad to where you want the weight distributed on your back (like anywhere, head/neck area, neck/shoulders, lower back buttocks, back of lega) and then, the magical part, you turn on the massage option and re adjust to where the massage is most needed. And y'all it's like having someone rub/massage your back, while being held. Freakin slept like a baby!

Disappointed with Reliability: 2nd Calming Heat Massaging Weighted Heating Pad Malfunctioning
I initially purchased the Calming Heat Massaging Weighted Heating Pad by Sharper Image and was disappointed when it shorted out after a few uses. Despite this, I decided to give it another chance with a second purchase, hoping the first was just a fluke. Unfortunately, my second unit has started malfunctioning as well. The pad itself is incredibly comfortable when it works, with a great combination of heat and massage options. The 6 settings (3 heat and 3 massage levels) allow for plenty of customization, and the weighted design provides a soothing pressure that helps relax muscles. The 9 different combinations offer a variety of experiences, making it versatile for different needs, and the 12" x 24" size is ideal for covering areas like your neck, shoulders, and back. However, just like the first unit, the second one is also having issues. The heating function occasionally stops working, and the massaging feature has become inconsistent. This has been incredibly frustrating because when it does work, it’s a great product that provides much-needed relief. It's disappointing to experience two faulty units in a row, especially considering how promising the pad seemed. I’m hesitant to try a third unit, as I’m now concerned about the quality control of this product. While the features are great when they function properly, the reliability has been a significant letdown.

Love it sooo much
The media could not be loaded. I love this thing. My husband got me one a while back and ended up stealing it from me. So I went and got myself another one. So now we each have one no more fighting over it. It has turned into a security blanket for me. I'll use the weight part on my lap without turning on the heat and it makes me feel so much better when I'm feeling down or anxious. 100% would buy over and over again.

Great as a hot pad, but mediocre “massager”/vibration
I use this every day for my chronic back pain, and it works amazingly. Even on low it gets very hot (I put a blanket between me and it if it’s too much). I don’t often use the vibration “massage” functions, but they do help me sometimes. I only place this on my back horizontally, not vertically, because of the placement of the vibrator parts, they are bulky and stick out. There are two of them, one on each half of the pad (if you imagined a line down the middle folded “hamburger style” not “hotdog style” if that makes sense). When placed horizontally, these vibrating nodes are comfortably right off to the sizes of me, however, I am a decently small person so they might dig into someone else’s back. This product provides a great, deep heat, but the massage functions are lackluster. It just vibrates in those two spots, which don’t really help my back pain. If there was an option to not have massage, I’d get that for next time.
