Engineered and out of the package fantastic
Long sleeves. Multitudinous pockets in and out. Warm. Soft and supple. Quiet. Highly wind and water resistant. Hood is easily adjusted and will go over Giro road biking ventilated helmet and myriad hats. Sleeves adjust at the cuffs. Looks to be seamlessly (lol) well made. Nothing misaligned, no loose threading and tight, even nylon stitching. Will it perform with competitors such as Mammut, Marmot, REI Co-op and others in terms of durability? In a word: No.But it needn't. Most clothing wouldn't. And the above mentioned clothing is more restrictive, less flexible and noisier for its durability in most cases. This item will withstand the urban jungle for decades if it is not your habit to get violently mugged weekly or fall off your skateboard frequently. Not to mention its EXCEEDINGLY reasonable cost for such quality and thought put into a product.

Warmer than shell, long narrow sleeves
I wanted a lightweight, windproof jacket but this is of thicker, warmer construction. Whatever the older reviews, the hood is definitely removeable via zipper, and the ends can tuck into little velcro pockets too. Hood is quite oversized, sleeves are overlong (as others note - and I have long arms) and both the body and sleeves are slender. If those suit you (and such slender sleeves seem to be a European/UK design) it looks a good, trim jacket for cool weather. Zips well up neck very comfortably! Body not roomy enough for any heavy sweater beneath. I immediately donated it to Goodwill because I have other midweight jackets that fit my needs better.

Nice for Spring thru Fall
This is a nice lightweight soft shell jacket for spring through fall. I was put together well and no hanging threads anywhere on it when it arrived. The zipper zips easily and I like that I can unzip the hood for use in good weather. I haven't worn it in a downpour but I didn't get wet in light rain or snow (I wore a light grey "military" fleece jacket under it this winter) The length hits me slightly below the belt line (I'm 5'7" 180lbs and usually wear large) and all the pockets are nice to have as well. Its also set up for wired ear buds if thats important to you. The cuffs are adjustable and comfortable. I would buy again.

Lightweight, warm and repels rain
What’s not to love! I wore it on a windy, 35° day with a medium weight sweatshirt. I was warm, and the hood was handy to keep the wind chill from freezing my ears. It’s hip-length, so it covers you backside nicely. I wasn’t expecting rain, but got caught in a good drizzle. This coat repelled the rain from soaking me. The interior liner is lightweight, but a good dense material. I wasn’t expecting rain not cold walking 2 miles. I washed the coat and the colors didn’t run, and the jacket looks brand new still. No wrinkling or shrinkage. the Medium fit me comfortably. I’m 5’5”, 150 lbs. I wear a woman’s 10-12. Added bonus is interior pockets and deep side pockets so nothing slips out.

Great quality, comfortable fit!
Very comfortable coat. Great for late fall and early spring weather here in Georgia. Not sure how it would work in a Pennsylvania winter like where I used to live, but works well for me here.First thing that I did though was to unzip the hood and stow it in one of the many pockets. This is a very comfortable jacket, and it fits well. I like the zipper quality, color, and fit. I have no problem recommending this jacket to you.

Great for Aug/Sept in Scotland
Bought for my hubby for our 3 week trip to Scotland from last week of August and into September. We had ample rain (sometimes cold and pelting) and wind. He stayed warm and dry with one to two layers under jacket in 50-63 degree weather. It’s damp and raw in Scotland with high humidity, so it’s cooler weather than it sounds. The large swallowed him and sent back with no issues. Medium fits great. He is 5’10 and 165 lbs. Will be great for camping too. Great go-to jacket with lots of pockets inside and out. Highly recommend. Ordered in gray. Paired with some waterproof snowboard pants from Amazon - stayed dry and wind-proofed! Great value!

normal quality but..
I often wear softshell jackets as everyday use or hiking. overall good jacket, true to size, regular fit, color is the same. detachable hood is a pros. also pockets inside. zippers work excellent.now about cons:it is thinner compare to other softshell jackets i had and inner material of pockets is not confortable when touching to skin.
