Nice reference book for your library.
Nice book, clear and well written by Charlie. Nice size pictures that go step by step. I plan on getting more of his books on fly tying

Great Teacher
Charlie Cravens is old of the great fly tying teachers of our time. Even if you are an experienced at tying, he's got something that will help you improve. He is a wealth of little tips that others miss.

Excellent book
Really happy with this book and very pleased that Charlie didn't burn a bunch of pages about tools and tying materials. Nice photos and descriptions, arguable one of the better fly pattern books I've encountered. Highly suggested you put this book on your shelf.

Great book, poor condition
The book is a great reference for tying nymphs.Received two copies, and returned both because they arrived warped (would not close flat or lay flat) assume stored in a humid location.

Another Fantastic book from one of the best in the business
Another Fantastic book from one of the best in the business. I have been fortunate enough to have seen his demos at Somerset FlyFishing symposia. Great teacher and there is nobody who translates his teachings into a book quite like Charlie Craven. Highly recommended! Also, pics are very effectively illustrative of teaching points he is trying to make. Yes, you learn the patterns with this one but, more importantly, if you follow the order of the patterns provided, there are techniques being built, as you go!

If you are a fly tier you know how beautiful all of Charlie's books are
If you are a fly tier you know how beautiful all of Charlie's books are. I have them all and use them often. This book is very cool in that he goes into patterns not previously published in his other books. Outstanding photography and very detailed instructions on the patterns. Get this one!

Good book for beginning fly tyers!
Well written, but dull. Good photography. But I would rather see a book that teaches more advanced fly tying techniques, rather than being more of a fly tying recipe book. I have been tying flies since 1978, and I did not learn anything from it than I did not already know!
