Purchased for 2012 Dodge RAM 1500 Crew and really pleased with the result. 2012 RAM required drilling which was a bit intimidating but, in the end, we simply installed each bracket with the existing two pre-cut holes and then used the hanging bracket as a template for the remaining two bolts. Drilling was easy and the remaining board alignment and tightening very straightforward. Worked like a champ and the result is solid.

I thought this would be a good addition to my truck because it didn't have any running boards. I am handy and could put these on myself. But I'm not so young anymore. We have a mechanic where I work. I asked if he could put these on for me. He took a look at it and said he would do it. I think it took him less than an hour to install them. They look good and do the job.

I got them installed. But it was not an "hour" or less job. I've done body work and also a professional mechanic. My truck is a 2019 RAM 1500 BigHorn 5.7L 4WD. This truck has 1 threaded insert and 2 non threaded inserts on each side. So that was a surprise. As others have stated, the threaded inserts need a paint remover for the bolt to penetrate. Using a paint stripper on the threads really helps. Next, on to the non threaded: these are somewhat tricky. You need to remove the tape that covers the top area of the entry hole. You will see what I mean when you do this. You will then uncover a 1" x 2" rectangular hole. You might be able to get a long finger in there to reach the bolt entry. That is next to impossible. So what do you do? Well, the thing that worked great for me was fastening a zip tie around the head of the bolt and fishing it into the now untaped entry from above the "insert". You then need to patiently push that bolt through the opening and let it rest there while you do the second entry hole in the same fashion. Now you have the bolts sticking out toward you.. So you are lying on your back and you better have the mounting brackets within arms reach and the nuts and washers and ratchets within close range to get things going. Then carefully place the bracket through the protruding bolts without disturbing them and grab a nut while holding the bracket in place and secure the bracket temporarily. You will need to screw that nut on quite delicately. A good trick after you see the bolts emerge through is to use your pinky finger through the upper hole to hold the bolt steady while you screw the nut on with your other hand. Believe me, it takes some patience to do these maneuvers. It's very easy to lose those bolts inside the truck body. I actually had to run to ACE hardware to replace several. -- Conclusion: very well made running boards and really sturdy and solid once they are on, but not an easy 1 hour installation. In fact, if you look up the body work hours to do this operation it would be 1 hour each side of the truck if you are a pro.

Product is nice for the price. I put them on a 2018 Ram 3500 crew cab cab and chassis. All the mounting holes are on the truck cab. I did have to cut about a 1/4" x 1/4" notch out of the drivers side DEF tank skid plate with a 4" grinder with a cutoff blade. Very easy and this let the mid bracket mount right up. Otherwise the bracket was slightly cocked and did not want to line up with the mounting holes so I notched the bottom of the skid plate by taking 1/4" x 1/4" little square out.This make the install quick and easy. I also put the nuts and washers onto the T-bolts first then slid them thru the brackets and into corresponding holes / slots and into the cab holes. This was easy and then I was not fighting the T-bolts nor losing them.

I have had these on my ram 1500 for 2 years. Installed them in 20 minutes. Couldn’t be happier, I work on construction sites and the paint is not peeling!

Fits perfectly

The media could not be loaded. Took about 30 minutes per side....easy install, but the instructions were not that great. Look on YouTube, I found 2 good videos on there. Sturdy and good quality, just don't know how they will hold up in winter against the salt.

Advertising stated that no drilling required. Very false statement if you don't drill and mount won't last 2 uses
