One star because only one gallon worked.
Used this product on my patio. Have a real problem with the consistency of the product. Applied two gallons and needed more product. Ordered a 3rd gallon and applied it to the midsection of the patio. The consistency was very different. I could tell during the cleanup process that the 3rd gallon was thicker, different. Confirmed the following morning when it rained and the area where the 3rd gallon was applied beaded up. The area where the original 2 gallons were applied did not bead up and in fact did not look like any product was applied to the area. I basically wasted $60 purchasing the original 2 gallons of this product and wasted my time. The 3rd gallon worked well. Very disappointed in the initial 2 gallons. Once again this product was not consistent. Not one to complete reviews but I will seriously consider purchasing products of this nature from Amazon in the future. If purchased from my local retailer/hardware store I could have received a credit or additional product which may have been consistent with the third gallon purchased. The manufacturer should have better quality control.

Works great, just follow the directions
This product works exactly as advertised. Spent a day power washing my concrete driveway with just a small Greenworks 1600psi washer with the concrete attachment and concrete soap. Next day in 50 degrees and sunshine I applied the Rainguard using a Husqvarna garden sprayer and the high volume nozzle. Using even strokes I applied until the product slightly pooled per instructions. I have approximately 1300sqft of driveway and sidewalk, broom finished concrete. The 5 gallon pail was a perfect amount. Product did not stain, darken, or alter the appearance of the driveway once dry. This morning it rained about 12 hours after application. You can see in the photos the excellent pooling action, as well as a comparison between treated and untreated areas. I will use this again next time I need to seal concrete

You can still have a brick home in excellent condition and still wick water into the home
Ive been in the masonry trade and have been in business for approx 30 years . Majority of my work is restoration, repair, preservation, preventive maintenance with a little twist of new... In other words honoring and preserving masonry. With that being said, i can't express enough on the importance of keeping all exterior masonry surfaces " WEATHER SEALED ".. it's a MUST not an option, the harsh weather of elements , the beating sun of summer and harsh freeze and thaw of winter takes its toll ... There are so many proven benefits of sealer protection thats it's a " no brainer " period... I have done extensive repair projects to old and newer masonry in which it could have been avoided had the existing masonry would of been treated with a siloxane / silane blend sealer such as ( micro-seal )..All raw masonry new or old needs sealed.. It really is the final step in completing a masonry project.. I have kept track of projects not to mention field tested sealer applications at my shop location.. Guess what ?? They are still repelling water 10 plus years later, still resisting water absorption.. concrete block, brick, natural stone, thin artificial stone veneer, stucco mortar parging and concrete surfaces..Now keep in mind prior to a sealing treatment the existing masonry needs to be in stable condition and any repairs need to be addressed accordingly using a proper method etc.. Many problem issues i have been seeing lately is with thin stone veneer.. Which its use for exterior of homes is on the rise , although thin stone has its advantages in the building industry it is very problematic .. they absorb alot of moisture therefore tend to pop off or debond during the winter freeze thaw cycles etc.. not to mention excessive water wicking into interior wall systems creating a whole other havoc with rott and mold etc..Man made thin stone can also fade due to uv rays and yes it does.. keeping it sealed helps prevent that problem.. Now onto older masonry, what can sealer do to help ?? ANSWER = preserve it.. remember brick are very absorbent as well. You can still have a brick home in excellent condition and still wick water into the home.. repeated rain can and will do this due to not having enough time to evaporate or simply " dry out ", not to mention there may not be any weep holes for drainage of excessive moisture or lets not forget interior airspace between wallsystem and masonry that build up condensation .. Now by sealing you prevent the exterior water intrusion.. Excessive condensation can be remedied by the installing of venting where needed etc..Now im sorry for the long rant but as you can see im a huge advocate for saving and protecting masonry. Be proactive and keep it sealed, i can guarantee you that if you ignore it, you will incur future costly repairs that could of been avoided !!Yours in masonry , Bryan J Mabius ( mabius masonry ) my profile: custom mason with over 30 plus years in the trade, trade industry rep, guest vocational masonry instructor, structural bridge inspector , consultant

Easy and it works
My concrete driveway is made with a custom river gravel for a washed effect which makes it very porous. I used 5 gallons and only got half of it covered with one coat. While waiting for my next delivery from Amazon I threw a bucket of water across the 1 coat line to the untreated line. I was very impressed with the experiment as the water on the 1 coat side beaded up like spilled mercury. I now plan to seal all of my driveways and masonry with it. The cost of concrete and masonry is sky high these days so even though sealing is not a planned expense I feel it’s a worthwhile investment.4 Stars only because I don’t know how long it will last but if I am still around In 5 years I will update.Took me 15 gallons for two coats of 1300 sq.ft.

Used on newly replaced chimney crown
Watch the manufacturer videos for installation recommendations..Purchased to install on a newly replaced chimney crown. Installed after crown had 1 month cure time, and several days of dry weather.I used a junk 3" paint brush to "paint" the product onto the crown. You continuously apply the product until the crown will not absorb any more liquid. The liquid has a tendency to shed/run off the surface if you apply too much on a sloped surface. Take note of the materials below your work area, and take measures to prevent the runoff from going somewhere that might be affected.I learned to apply small amounts and work it into the surface. Once I got the hang of how the crown interacted with the liquid, I was able to work my way around the crown. It took approximately 45 minutes before the crown stopped absorbing liquid.Unfortunately, I was forced to install on a hot, sunny day, so parts of the crown would dry out before I was able to work my way back around.I have not been up on the roof during a rainstorm to see how well it is working. Maybe I'll bring some water up and do a water test and report back.

No cambia el color
Es el primer producto que uso que no cambia el color de mi concreto/cemento. Con solo una mano es suficiente para dejarlo impermeabilizado y totalmente sellado. No necesitas diluirlo. Lo recomiendo.

Mejoró nada
Pues no me gusta dar malas reseñas pero a mi no me sirvió de nada. No selló poros, mi piso quedó igual, nada cambió

No funciona y muy caro
No funciona, no sella, una vez sellado todo le penetra y se quedan las manchas, dinero perdido
