Dogs love to use it, so will you.
Producting overall rating:5/5Presentation:Bought 2 beds as I have two large breed dogs who need and prefer their own space. Both are large breed dogs, imaged attached is a older 7 year old German/Lab Mix, my other was busy outside playing :). I bought both of them XL size ( 52 x 36 x 7 ). My dogs fit perfectly onto them with room to spare. The headrest is an added option that I purchased with it as well and is a neat look and feature with it. Both colors are as is as shown. We purchased Charcoal Grey and Khaki. I did wish they had additional colors to purchase as we are very satisfied with the ones we got, but my wife is a color fanatic and would’ve love to have more options to choose from. Not a deal breaker though. The covering fits snug on the bed itself. You won’t have to worry about excess slack like other dog beds have. Overall 5/5 for presentation.Material:Covering 5/5. The microfiber covering over the bed itself is excellent. Super easy to clean. I haven’t had many messes on it as my dogs are both home trained so I am fortunate for that. Only thing I have had to worry about is that they like to lick the sheets while trying to lick themselves. With the micofibering material, the dog fur does tend to stick to it more often than your usual cotton cover dog bed, but this isn’t much of an issue as it is easy to clean the cover itself. Most other dog beds come with cotton or polyester covering which tends to be harder to clean sometimes and usually messes leak into the bedding itself leaving you with the need to buy another bed often. The therapeutic bedding itself has multiple layers of comfort to it. If you own a temperpedic bed yourself, or even a memory Pam bed, then you will know the bed holds its shape even after you get up. This is exactly what you will get with this bed. I myself along with my wife have laid in it and the bed holds its shape. Your’re talking about hundreds of pounds getting on it! My dogs love it as they get a very soft bed to lay on and don’t have to worry about sinking in which can be uncomfortable especially if you have a dog that is older and trying to get out of a bed that sinks in can be troubling.Functionality:My 7 year old pup had multiple leg injuries including a torn ACL, meniscus, and consistent limping. As many dog owners know, once a large breed dog such as a Lab or Shepherd suffers a torn ACL, they are 60% likely to tear the other leg. I bought these beds to aid in their rest and to ensure they aren’t sleeping or resting on a hard surface that could irritate his prior injuries. This bed has been great so far. He doesn’t have to worry about jumping onto a couch 2 feet up or worry about sleeping on the hardwood floors. He sleeps, naps, plays in this bed when he has a chance too. No sink in material to worry about. Easy to clean and take on and put on. It looks great with our other furniture around it. Dogs can sometimes sleep on their on legs and wake up heavy felt but this bed has alleviated it. I sometimes have to drag him out of it to go for his walk since he loves it that much! I’ve never had to worry about either of my dogs sleeping well anymore or worry about their legs healing from any of their injuries.Pricing:4.5/5Unfortunately there are no discounts for this product, but any buyer will know that the best products out their don’t get discounts or “coupons” for products of quality and prestige. These beds are made in the USA which is great. They are a bit pricey, but like I mentioned, you get what you pay for. The XL is $279.95, L $239.95, and the Giant $399.95. Buying two beds at the XL did put a dent in the wallet, but the happiness and comfort my dogs experience is all worth it. If it is in your budget to purchase this, I highly recommend it. The investment outweighs the cost of it and the 10 year warranty that comes with it is unheard of.Overall:This is a must get for dog owners all around. Why spend $40-$100 for a dog bed only to have to buy another one several months later because the quality and durability didn’t last long? Invest in this dog bed for your pups and never be disappointed. This is the “tempurpedic” of beds to dogs as to ours as humans. You cannot beat the 10 year warranty on the USA made product and I assure you your dogs will love it.5/5!

Pricy, yes, but a quality product
Our 95 pound female German Shepherd Dog is rather rough on things and had destroyed a couple of beds prior to this one. I'm not saying that this one is indestructible, but it is quite heavy and discourages her attacks.I did not rate 'softness' here, for this bed is firm by design. There are three layers of foam (2 one type, 1 another), and provide a lot of support. The bolster is an added bonus. It was somewhat difficult to get the cover onto the foam (and there were no directions), but once on, it fits nicely. We keep separate covers on the bed, so have not needed to launder the cover yet.

These Beds Are Not Just For Large Dogs!!
We have two rescued potbellied pigs. Hooper, age 17, weighs 150 pounds. Emma, age 11, weighs 225 pounds. We rescued Hooper in 2008 and Emma in 2013. Since they are seniors and suffer from arthritis, we wanted to get them firm, but comfortable, beds. Their dormitory has porcelain tiled floors. We couldn’t be more pleased with these Big Barker beds!! My husband and I both tried them out and they’re just as comfortable as our expensive Tempur-Pedic mattress. We purchased the waterproof liner, too. Everything is exceptionally well constructed. The quality of the fabric is excellent. We bought the XL sizes and our “kids” fit perfectly on their new beds. These beds are not cheap, but are well worth the cost!! I highly recommend these beds for any large pet, especially if they have medical conditions such as arthritis.

This bed is worth the money you'll spend!
When I first read about this bed and did a little research (Thank you WorldMastiffForum.com!), I wanted one right away. After I saw the price, I had to think about it for a few months. We didn't really need another bed yet as I had been taking good care of the two most recent $100 plus orthopedic beds we had by keeping them covered with fitted sheets and fleece throws that I could take off and wash frequently, but the foam was gradually flattening despite my best efforts of flipping and rotating the beds. Finally, we decided our rescue babies, a 130 lb. female mastiff and 120 lb. male great dane/Labrador retriever mix, would get a giant Big Barker to share for Christmas this year!Unfortunately, we found out in October that our male needed TTA surgery for a torn ligament in his knee. We decided to order the bed early so that he could get used to it and then have a comfortable place to recuperate after surgery. When it arrived and we finally got it unwrapped from all the plastic wrap that compressed it to about a fourth of its size, we were surprised at just how large and heavy it was! As per the instructions, it took the foam a few days to fully expand at which point my husband hauled the bed upstairs to our bedroom. We added the waterproof liner and the cover (it took both of us to do this), then topped it with a mattress pad and a sheet that can be taken off and washed a couple times a week.At first the dogs weren't that thrilled with the bed, but over the course of a week, it became their preferred bedtime spot. Both of them can lay on it comfortably, and when only one dog is using it, they can stretch out as far as they want and still be supported. We moved the bed to the main level and surrounded it with a folding pen for use while recuperating and it has been wonderful for that purpose! There was more than enough room for our boy to stretch out, get up and turn around. We also had plenty of room to sit beside him and do passive range of motion exercises on his leg. I have to confess, we even stretched out beside him and snuggled for a lot longer than we would have had it not been so comfy! It's been two weeks since his surgery, the surgeon said he's doing remarkably well, and he's been given a little more freedom to move about. Guess what? After letting him out this afternoon so he could move into the adjacent room which is carpeted and contains two older hundred-dollar-beds that we restuffed, he chose instead to return to his Big Barker bed!We are impressed with the quality and construction of our Big Barker giant bed with headrest (...which they use adorably!) and are very happy we made this purchase. Yes, it was expensive, but the beds we had been buying weren't cheap and those wore out. We even ordered memory foam mattresses and egg crate foam (again, not cheap) and cut that down to restuff a couple of beds hoping to get a bit more use out of them. With Big Barker offering an unheard of 10 year warranty, this bed will likely outlive many of the dogs for whom it's purchased. We'll be buying another Big Barker as soon as those other beds we have go flat ...or I get tired of stuffing, rotating and flipping them. ;)Update: Since our original purchase of the GIANT Big Barker bed reviewed above (which is still as full and supportive as ever), we've expanded our collection. We bought an XL bed with headrest for our dog with knee problems to use downstairs and stacked the two existing ortho beds for our mastiff. It seems that even two regular beds can't compete with the comfort of a Big Barker though as she would find ways to get him off the new bed so she could steal his spot. The only solution was to order another XL bed, our 3rd Big Barker in 9 months! It's a huge testament to a product when your oversized lap dog chooses to lie on his bed in another room over laying with you on the couch, but that's exactly what happens most nights. We highly recommend Big Barker and look forward to more products from this company!

... as I couldn't find one that my dog could comfortably fit on (she's 125 lbs)
I did a lot of research on beds for large dogs as I couldn't find one that my dog could comfortably fit on (she's 125 lbs). I kept coming back to the Big Barker, but was hesitant because of the price. I finally decided that I had to go ahead, and am so happy I did. The bed is extremely well made, and my dog is very comfortable. The first night she had the bed, is the first night she didn't sleep at our bedroom door. She didn't even get up to meet us in the morning as she was in such a deep sleep! We all know that large dogs can suffer from joint problems, and I think having this bed will help to keep her happy and healthy as she gets older. Great job Big Barker!

5 stars from Harvey
Have to say I am extremely pleased with it, my friends told me I was crazy to spend that amount of money on a dog bed but so far so good! He was diagnosed with hip dysplasia so wanted him to be as comfy as possible as we have wood floors. Vet recommended this. He hasn't chewed it ( touches wood ) & the quality is excellent. I only ordered the large despite Harvey being a 50kg Rottweiler , because he doesn't really stretch out completely when sleeping but the size is adequate . He just needs to work out which end the pillow is now !

Superb Quality!
Yes these beds are expensive but well worth the money! I bought the Big Barker bed with headrest for my 2.5 yr old 85 lb lab mix. She had TPLO surgery and it is helping her recover tremendously. She had bedsores that are now healing since she has been using it. It is a firm bed, no doubt, but that's what I think she likes about it. I have a softer bed for her as well (different, cheaper brand) so that she can choose whichever one she likes; 90% of the time she chooses the Big Barker bed. I would highly recommend this product. She really likes the headrest so I am glad I paid the extra money for that model.

The cover is easy to clean
I bought this product for my Labrador, who suffers from arthritis in the spine. She took to it immediately and even uses the pillow! The cover is easy to clean. I use sticky roll and a damp cloth if I need to.I have not washed the cover as I protect it with a blanket in the winter and a cool sheet in the summer. I air it outside once a month and also vacuum it.Wish the manufactures would make funky fitted sheets for it as well.My girl would highly recommend it! I got the 7" as she is a big lab.I have had this bed since May 2017 and it is still in excellent condition. I have not washed the cover as I protect it with a blanket. I air it outside once a month and also vacuum it. Really worth the money - one of my best buys ever!
