Kumihimo Jewelry Simplified: Learn to Braid with a Kumihimo Disk Paperback – March 8, 2016

This is a terrific book for the beginner and the more experienced braider. Rebecca does not teach the round braid, which is so common and can easily be learned on you tube! Instead, she is teaching the 8-warp basket weave, the half-round braid and the square braid and she lets you know what each braid is great for. She also teaches the 16-warp hollow braid which is great for a curtain pull or purse handle and the 16-warp trapezoid braid. She teaches different closures, different fibers including leather, as well as beading wire and beads. She also teaches how to use a core. If this isn't enough for you, she goes into the kumihimo math, troubleshoots the common mistakes newbies make with each braid and gives helpful hints to avoid those mistakes in the future. Best and easiest book to learn kumihimo that I've found. Great step by step instructions. It shows a great variety of different braids, not just color variation or just add beads.
