It's hard to crank. I had one like this for years and it worked just fine. This one is hard to turn when ice cubes are in it!

I had one of these years ago. It was heavy and did a great job. This one is very difficult to use. It is light and rather difficult to crush the ice as it slides all over and ice cubes get stuck. I found that you should not attempt to crush more than 1 cube at a time.Total waste of $. Don't throw away your money. Going back.

This does NOT have a suction base and is very difficult to use. The noise it emits sounds like it is about to fall apart, like the last one I had just did. I'm going with the stainless steel commercial unit.

After a day of use, I noticed discoloration/corrosion in the covered blade area and screws at the bottom. For this reason, I'm returning it and can't recommend purchase. (See photos of the base of the blade enclosure and attaching screws)This device is flimsy as well-even for home use. It's like buying an Easy-Bake Oven oven to bake your cakes, it'll crush ice, but it's tedious. If you're getting ice from a standard ice cube tray, it'll be very difficult to crank. It's easier with the smaller size ice cubes that you can purchase in a grocery store.I'm surprised the crank didn't break, but because of the corrosion issues, this didn't make it past the first day of use.

This is rusty beginning to accumulate on the ice crusher I received just a few days ago. It does a great job crushing ice, but I expected it to hold up a little bit better than that.

Difficult to use and it feels like it's gonna break at any moment! But it does work! Definitely helps in a pinch!

I purchased this because I LOVE crushed ice but it wasn't durable enough , I'd let my ice sit out for about 30 minutes to soften up a bit ( from ice maker in refrigerator ) , long story short it only lasted a week and a half before breaking beyond repair , so you get what you pay for .

I was very disappointed about how difficult it is to crank the ice. I did not return the product because I can’t find any other ice crushing product much different. I cannot afford an auto crusher. I do like the size of the ice after I struggle to crank it, but it’s not fun.
