Well worth the price!!!
One year update: If I have to use a walker, this is still my first choice! Even the driver at my retirement facility said that from his observations this walker beats all the others for durability, stability and ease of maneuvering. Yes, it is expensive compared to others on Amazon. However, this is my third rolator to own and I would pay this again for the quality and ease of use. Still consider this to be well worth the price! One negative review mentions the seat being too narrow. There are two sizes of the walker. Perhaps the individual needed the larger model. Also they mentioned the “hard bench seat”. It is a normal plastic seat that adjusts in height, something no other rolator does to my knowledge. If you know you will be using it to sit on a great deal when you are out, you can easily take a pillow. By the same token, I often take the tray accessory with me when going to church pot luck’s, Thanksgiving, and other such gatherings so I can carry my own plate easily.I don't know if I could be more pleased with my new walker. The quality of construction is truly excellentllent. The large wheels handle cracks in sidewalks and uneven terrain (such as in a grassy area) far better than a normal rollator. This Volaris Rollator is lighter and easier to lift to get in a car. I love how I am far more upright in my walking and stride with this walker than other rollators. My physical therapist and nurse were very impressed with it as well. The pictures show it open, partially closed and closed. If you plan to ever sit on it for more than a moment or two, I would definitely recommend getting the optional backrest. I have just ordered the cloth mesh basket to complete my walker. It can remain attached to the walker even when the walker is folded for transport. Yes it is more expensive than some rollators and once you use it you see why. Highly recommended!

Bad product. Bad customer service
Have had difficulty with this rollator since I bought it over a year ago. I am handicapped and need a rollator to assist in walking. I bought this one because it was supposed to be an “all terrain”. I live on 10 acres with tree roots exposed on the surface of the ground. The wheels are thin and stop dead when I hit a root. The only way to continue is to lift the walker over each root. It also bogs down in soft soil. Not exactly what I would call an “all terrain walker”! The front wheel fell off over three months ago. I have had the wheel wired on ever since. Trying to find parts has been a joke. They don’t seem to be available anywhere in the US. I have emailed the manufacturer with photos. Still no response. Do I recommend this product? Absolutely not!

Fine for walking but do not get this if you plan on using the seat or if there is any chance you will return it
As you can see from the picture, the seat is a narrow, small, hard bench. I really should have considered that more before I purchased it, because it cost $55 to return. The seller told me that the seat is not intended to be used much at all. She also said that it is assumed you will use the walker to get to a comfortable chair instead of using the seat. I don't understand that rationale because I have seen plenty of senior citizens sitting on the seats of their walkers. Quick example- two gentlemen in church can't get into the pews due to their handicaps so they sit on the seats of their walkers. The seller wrote to me that the seat is "designed so that it does not interfere with the ability to get right over the top of the handles so you can stand up straight with good posture- not hunched over pushing it in front of you like you see others doing. So the focus when designing the Volaris was to be a really good walker, not a replacement for a chair." I understand, but I think that's an exaggeration. My father walks upright with good posture with his current walker and it has a traditional seat.I purchased this for my father who has serious balance issues and often uses the seat on his current walker to rest. It is easier for him to slowly sit down on the seat of a walker, with the brakes on, than it is to sit in a chair, especially if he is out of the house. He sat down on this walker and said he barely fit on the seat (5'7", 190 pounds) and it was truly uncomfortable. I tried it and I completely agreed. For allegedly being designed so well, I was surprised at how hard it was to pull out the pins underneath the seat to adjust it up or down - to the point that it took two of us to be able to do it. Adjusting the handles up and down was much easier. My father was very impressed with the wheels.Although I am a Prime member, it cost $20 for shipping. The seller then charged $35 for the prepaid label to return it, so it will cost you $55 if you decide to return this, if you live in NY. The seller said you have to pay the full shipping price to send it back. That would be more than $35 if you live farther away from them than I do - they are also located in NY.It was my choice to take that chance because I will pay anything to help my dad. This walker currently has 4.9/5 stars with 12 reviews, and that also influenced my purchase. I foolishly assumed that a $520 walker would be far superior to his current one that cost $120 (Hugo Elite). I was wrong. He LOVES the Hugo Elite. I just feel really bad for him and wanted to "treat" him to a fancy walker. Lesson learned. Stick with the Hugo Elite. The seller is very strict about returns. I received an email with strict instructions after placing the order, including how to open the box. They are very clear that you have only two days to try the walker indoors. Once my return was approved by them, I received an entire page of very detailed instructions and rules about the return. I am simply providing this as additional information.Bottom line: This is nice for walking, but so are other walkers priced much more reasonably than this one. The seat is an afterthought and was poorly designed. This item was very expensive to return.

Good over grass
This has enabled me to go over grass to reach areas of my garden that I couldn't before. I wish it had a place to carry garden tools, but I did buy a clip on bag that helps a bit.

Freedom! Worth Every Penny!
I was in 2 car accidents, and can walk but not for distances, and I realized I could walk with a shopping cart! Needed to lose some weight as well so when I got tired of driving to grocery store and walking in a hot parking lot.... LOL! I wanted to got to the botanical garden and thinking its a couple of miles walk, which I knew my back would kill me, so I decided to buy a rollator, but then all the choices.... then the larger wheels caught my eye... what was that for???? and such different prices, this being expensive, but when I saw where I could walk, how EASY to fold up , not heavy or awkward, aluminum so OK for the beach!!!, Some complaints about hardness of seat. it is hard, but this is more about being able to get around easily, and if you are tired sit for a brief time, no harder than any benches....BUT well designed, easy to adjust height there are brakes to slow down AS WELL AS a lock mech is you are sitting, all easy to do, came beautifully packaged...Worth Every Penny!
