Makes a great top sheet for a hospital bed.
Paired with Linteum Textile's cotton thermal blanket, the combo permits you to sleep warm in a cool room. I was so comfortable, that come morning, I didn't want to get up. I'm looking forward to nap time!I'm a retired RN, and yes, this is a "bath blanket," woven with two different gauges of thin yarn, and it's almost thin enough to see through it. This gives the fabric a ribbed texture that helps hold warmth, providing comfort for a person who's getting a bed bath. I don't think the texture is noticeable, but if you're new to the concept, the fabric will feel rough to the hand, and not soft and smooth like a regular sheet, but laundering it will change that a little, and by that time, you'll be used to it, anyway. The only quality issue is a minor one: lots of "Irish pennants" (loose sewing thread ends) that need to be tied off and trimmed (the same as on the Linteum cotton thermal blanket). But the hems are sewn evenly, the selvedges are straight, and I've detected no defects in the body of the fabric.Unlike the thermal blanket, there's no contrasting woven line down the center of the fabric, so like any top sheet, it's hard to center it on the bed. To help remedy that, fold the item lengthwise, and at the middle fold on the top and bottom edges, embroider a small mark in a contrasting color.Expect a bit of shrinkage, because it's 80/20 cotton/polyester. The blue stripes are at the ends, and are woven into the fabric, not printed. The blanket was made in Pakistan, for those inquiring minds that want to know.

Beyond 5 Stars!
Oh! My! Goodness! I've searched high and low for this blanket! I had a surgery in 2003 and the blanket from the hospital made it home with me, compliments of a nice nurse :) That blanket has stood the test of time as it has been loved for many many years and is SO soft and has no holes, rips or tears to this day. I've shared it with my daughter and now she is going off to college and wants a blanket just like mine. I ordered this, washed it in hot water, came out of the dryer just as soft as the blanket I've had for years! I hope this one will last her through her college years and beyond. I could not be more pleased with this perfect little lightweight soft cozy blanket purchase!

Much thinner than my blanket from the hospital. Poor customer service đ˘
This would be what I call a disposable blanket.Upon opening the package, it appears to be similar material to medical guaze.I washed it in hopes of the weave tightening up, and they did, but, still extremely thin, almost a sheet, but not soft, and doesn't seem durable at all.I didn't have the lint issue that other reviews had, just the normal amount of lint for a first wash. It did, however have the pilling issue other reviews mentioned.Overall, not the hospital blanket I have been looking for as it is about 1/3 the thickness of my blanket the nurse let me keep from the hospital. I guess you get what you pay for. In this case cheap price equalled cheap quality.I would give zero stars if possible. Contacted seller as thread that was holding the seam at the edge of the blanket is missing. You just see the holes where the thread used to be. Seller is just arguing with me asking for better pictures. How can I send a picture of something that isn't there? I do not recommend purchasing anything from this seller due to poor quality of merchandise and poor customer service.

Not first quality - Beware this is a 'Mass produced B Grade Quality'
This 'blanket' is nothing more than unbleached muslin fabric better suited for home decor crafting (like purchased by the yard from a craft store). Neither soft, cozy nor warm. There is virtually no weave. The fabric is scratchy and coarse. Smelled a bit musty upon opening. The seller replied telling me that within the description it is noted that this item is 'Mass produced B Grade Quality'. 1) there is no description stating this and 2) how would the average buyer know what B grade is anyway? I certainly would have googled it if it were noted, but it is not. Total waste of money!

Good quality, very pleased. Just ordered another color.
I bought another blanket comparable to this. This one is softer and lighter weight material but still substantial. Not real soft but I feel it will soften will additional washings. Washed well, no substantial lint which was a big plus, stitched well. Not a fancy blanket, hospital type. I love it. Fits my needs beautifully. Iâve been looking for a lighter weight Cotten blanket for a very long time. Tired of fleece, microfiber, etc etc.

My new woobie.
THIS is what I've been looking for. I'd purchased and been enjoying two other similar blankets from Amazon but my only beef was the length which was about 4 or 6 inches too short. This blankets size is exactly what I wanted all along and for some reason it's less expensive than either of the other two. Quality, thickness, weight and feel are so far very good. After two washings the blue hasn't faded, no shrinkage, no pilling. Not sure how I didn't find this blanket earlier but sure glad I did! I may need to buy a couple more to keep on the shelf.

Probably NOT what youâre looking for...
IF you are looking f9r the heavy weight but thin cotton blankets they use (and warm) in your local hospital look at this website: https://www.amazon.com/Urban-Villa-Blankets-Layering-Provides/dp/B07NVK86BX.The striped one sold as Linteum Textile is not particularly soft or that solid feeling you get from that special hospital blanket. This is attractive, light weight as well, but sometime you want to feel SOME weight on you and this isnât it , at least for me. i will keep it bc $14 is not a bad price for a twin sheet cover in my summer house, but it is definitely not what I was hoping for. Also know that the âlight blueâ stripe is not as aqua or pale greeny-blue as the picture would indicate. It is a like faded denim. That material is NOT burlap-y but it isn't flannel soft either. It is something I would defiantly use without my guest beds. Easy care, too. Especially for guest rooms, i like to be able to wash all the bedding. So the wash and dry factor is an important feature.

The worst. Save your money.
This is The WORST blanket ever ! It feels like burlap not a cotton hospital blanket. Waste of money. I have washed it 4 times and itâs still scratchy.
