Tezong Blue Poly Tarp - Your Heavy-Duty Waterproof Shield for All Seasons!
I recently purchased the TEZONG Blue Poly Tarp, and it has proven to be an indispensable tool for a variety of outdoor needs. As someone who values durability, versatility, and protection against the elements, this heavy-duty waterproof tarpaulin has exceeded my expectations.First and foremost, the build quality is impressive. The material is robust and heavy-duty, providing a reliable shield against rain, sun, and wind. The waterproof feature is particularly noteworthy; I've used it to cover firewood, outdoor furniture, and even as a makeshift shelter during unexpected rain showers, and it has kept everything underneath bone-dry.The 6x6ft size is versatile and suits a range of applications. Whether I'm covering my backyard equipment, camping gear, or creating a temporary barrier, the dimensions are just right. The reinforced edges and corners add an extra layer of durability, ensuring that the tarp can withstand the rigors of outdoor use.I appreciate the eyelets strategically placed along the edges, making it easy to secure the tarp in place with bungee cords or ropes. The grommets are sturdy and show no signs of wear even after repeated use. This level of attention to detail in the design contributes to the overall reliability of the tarp. The Tezong Blue color not only adds a touch of style but also provides visibility, making it easy to locate and identify items covered by the tarp. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the thoughtfulness put into the product's design.Whether it's protecting my belongings during a storm or creating a makeshift shelter during a camping trip, the TEZONG Blue Poly Tarp has proven to be an essential companion. The versatility, durability, and waterproofing make it a standout choice for anyone in need of a reliable tarpaulin. For the price and quality, this tarp gets a solid five stars from me!

Be wary of lack of quality control.
The product was very poorly made, no quality control. I took it out of the bag, opened it up and when I went to install it the corner fell right off onto the ground. But I had to use it right away there was no time to reorder another one. I had to improvise and use large washers to hold down the fallen apart corner.

Not completely happy with this product.
I used this tarp to winterize a fountain I have. Drain the fountain, clean it, and cover it for winter. Use a light rope and run it through the grommets to secure the tarp to the fountain. First time using it and one of the grommets fell off. Tarp still usable but disappointed.

Nice and thick; good size.
I got this tarp to cover a large tandem kayak. I like that it is long and narrow. It works great to keep the AZ sun off the boat.

It’s perfect so far
I needed a smaller tarp to go over my ferrel cat box on my porch and so far, this has worked perfectly.I’ll know more when the snow comes. My cats don’t seem bothered with this one like they have with previous tarps I’ve used. Not sure why that is.

16 MIL Tarp Thickness/Weight Not as Advertised
This review is for a 6 ft x 6 ft TEZONG 16 MIL black tarp. I have significant experience with tarps, having purchased well over 100 over the years. The tarp I received appeared to be constructed of quality materials, with reinforced corners, edges hemmed with rope (~3.5mm in diameter), and aluminum grommets spaced 32-38 inches apart. Note that the advertised (and actual) grommet spacing of 38 inches is excessively wide in my experience, and may not be sufficient for applications that require a secure tie-down. The actual dimensions of the tarp were 2 inches shorter along one aspect (70 inches), and 2 inches longer along the other (74 inches). In other words, the finish size of the tarp was 70 in x 74 in, or 36 sq ft.Although my initial impressions of the tarp were favorable, the weight and “in-the-hand” feel of the tarp were not consistent with the advertised 16 MIL thickness, or the advertised 8 oz/square yard weight. To confirm this, I measured the thickness and weight of the TEZONG tarp and compared those results to control tarps of known thickness and weight. For the thickness measurements, the tarp material was doubled-over once to obtain a more accurate reading. In addition, n=5 independent measurements were taken for each tarp, sampling an area near the four corners and the center of the tarp. The picture labeled Fig. 1 shows a representative measurement for the TEZONG tarp, a 16 MIL control tarp, and a 10 MIL control tarp. The thickness of the TEZONG tarp (0.43 mm) was found to more closely match a 10 MIL tarp (0.39 mm) rather than a 16 MIL tarp (0.61 mm).Weight measurements were also taken, revealing the 6x6 ft (4 sq yd) TEZONG tarp to be 25.3 oz, or 6.3 oz/sq yd (25.3 oz / 4 sq yd). Well below the advertised 8 oz/sq yd. In contrast, the 16 MIL control tarp that was used as a control for the thickness measurements was found to be 8 oz/sq yd (71.2 oz / 8.89 sq yd). The weight measurements followed the same trend as the thickness measurements, suggesting the TEZONG tarp is slimmer in thickness and lighter in weight than a 16 MIL tarp with 8 oz/sq yd of material.Because my application for this particular tarp does not necessarily demand the 16 MIL weight, I may keep this tarp. It is reasonably well made (save the grommet misplacement along one edge, and their excessively wide spacing) and should do the job. However, I am disappointed that the item description is not accurate. For that reason, I’ve reduce a potential 4-star rating to 3-stars, to accompany a tepid recommendation.
