Works as described but it does heat after sometime because it’s small size and powerful light. Other than that no issues and I would recommend for people who don’t need to use this all the time.

I have to start by saying I am a fan of this light. It is small enough to keep on a chain and though you won't find yourself using this that often (unless you have small children) but having it when you need it makes it worth keeping with you all the time.The construction is rugged and light and surprisingly bright for a AAA battery. It is very handy for looking for body fluids on things -- from an infants legs to clothing to that hotel room you think is very clean... It also recently showed me where my 4 year old spilled milk on a wall and tried to clean it up to avoid trouble -- and didn't get much of it, even though it looked clean. I also used it to check my older son's arms and legs after he said he had showered and it was obvious he had not... The list goes on and on.The price is a good value for what you are getting and I recommend it to everyone.

I'm not using this to detect fluids and such. I got it because I'm a nerd for glow-in-the-dark stuff and I use this light to charge up the lume (glowy bits) on my watches. Handy to make your watch glow in the dark without wrecking your night vision. It is indeed bright, though, and not something I would let the unfiltered light from enter my eyes (which the product documentation also recommends). So far, the single AAA battery it came with has held up to my semi-frequent use. I'm glad I got it!

Love the size and brightness of this UV ONLY mini flashlight! Bad news is that the ad pics. show it is dual (white AND UV!). This is NOT the case!!! Otherwise I would had given four stars. Picture shows size with keys for comparison.

Such a great quality mini uv flashlight and it does its job. I will be using it for many things like fluorescent glow lures for flounder fishing and more. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN!
