EZ-FLO2020-HB - 2 Gallon System

Works great for our garden.

Bought this to inject a mild soap solution into a fresh water feed line going into a power washer. It worked perfectly for that application. Assembled and connected easily onto my standard outdoor water spigot and then onto a typical household water hose. Very solid plastic bottle...fittings and valve are a little flimsy. Adequate for my application but not high quality. If you need to fiddle with them with adjustments regularly, I'm thinking they wouldn't hold up for very long. Only downside is that I wish it had some sort of handle or carrying attachment. The tank is fairly large and once filled with liquid, becomes quite heavy. Without a handle...it becomes difficult to move and transport as you have nothing to grab but the cap. The cap has the feed tubes/valves and seems somewhat fragile to use as a handle. Grabbing the bottle around the cap with all the valves/feed tubes and then trying to carry it; makes me worry that I may break something. Other than that....highly recommend.

I wanted to find a solution where I could automate the irrigation and fertilizer application using my iPhone or iPad. The EZ-Flo is a crucial component to make it happen.The product was easy to put together and straightforward. I use fertilizer that is completely water soluble so I cut the agitation tube and used the elbow to basically have it in the lid. This will allow for new water to sit on top of the denser nutrient solution below. You can actually see this happen if you use food coloring in the water. There is a line between the nutrients and fresh water that can be followed as the system is used, so I know that my nutrient content is consistent. If you do not cut the agitator tube, it will continually mix the solution making for a weaker concentration each time it is used.This product comes with a hose bib connector, but you can also use it with PVC piping with the correct adapters for a more permanent location.I mix up my fertilizer based on the current needs of the garden, planning to refill the EZ-Flow every two weeks. I use the 100:1 setting so the garden will receive 200 gallons of nutrient enriched water over a two week period. This equates to about an acre inch of water per week for the garden. Bottle will crack if not depressurized after each use.

So I bought this thing and it worked great. For a season. Then the warning that is on the sticker really sunk in when the tank failed. It says something very close to... "disconnect this thing after use or the tank will rupture". That definitely happened. The dumb part is that it's not all that easy to remove from the system. You have to disconnect all the hoses then reconnect late. Totally dumb. Why a company designed something like this that WILL FAIL if you connect it to your hose is beyond me. My watering timer is set to water for 1 hour twice a day so that is the only time it was pressurized. Buy something else that won't rupture from normal water pressure. It will break if you leave it connected. Consider yourself warned.

I liked that it matched what I had before and it came with everything to set it up

The system works as advertised. I've had to play with the discs and fertilizer a bit but it seems to be working nicely. I just wish the out line was clearer so you could tell what the level of fertilizer going out was in the mix. I have to unscrew the cap occasionally to see if there is any color to the mix as it becomes a weaker solution. Other than this, I am very pleased with this unit.

This thing works like a dream. My lawn an flowers have never looked so nice.
