This game / Activity provides so many fun options, i ordered for the grandkids to learn a bit of coordination and self control, it takes that to the next level of fun. My grandson reaches for it 1st of all to have and it keeps us all moving. the great variety of ball and Feather textures are a great learning opportunity to deligate the amount of pressure it takes to keep them the volley going. They fit adults hands and kinds hands alike. We have had hours of fun already. The cat and dog join us and all has keep sturdy so far.

I'm not sure how you would win or lose, but you know those times when you are sitting at the beach/park and want to get up and do something fun with your friends? It's for times like that you will be happy that you spent the $8 and purchased a frisbee at the Megalomart 8 years ago.BUT, after you toss the frisbee around for five minutes or so and quickly remember that throwing a frisbee is kind of hard. And, that as bad as you are at it, your friends are even worse, especially the one friend who insists his 4 year old kid join in on the action. So you all stand around waiting for Rilee to throw the disc. When the disc is finally thrown it goes 7 feet, in the direction of no one, and the parent thinks it's so cute, while you do your best pretend "oh, isn't that cute!" laugh, only to be more than a little happy when Rilee starts crying hysterically, bringing this ill conceived game of frisbee to an end.So don't buy a frisbee, buy a Jazzminton set! Even if it ends up eerily mimicking the scenario above it will at least be a new game that triggers your sense of angst and ennui!Is Jazzminton easy to play? Sort of, assuming you have a basic level of hand-eye coordination and you aren't playing with "that guy" who may have a little more than lemonade in his red cup, and insists on smashing the ball as hard as he can at every opportunity.Pro Tip: As everyone learns the intricacies of J-Ton, only underhand paddle hits are allowed. The game also comes with a variety of balls and badminton style shuttlecocks that are easier and harder to use. Again, unless you fancy yourself the second coming of Lin Dan, start easy, with slow and low being the motto for all the participants(actually, try to not hit the projectile too low, as getting a little air under it will make the return easier for your playing partner(s).Gameplay & Fun Factor: I've used it a few times this summer, with a few different age groups, and I think people generally & genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves. Trying to keep a rally going for 10 hits is a way to keep people involved and the overhead smashes into the face at a minimum.Quality of the set and such: Compared to the other Jazzminton sets I've owned, this one is ranked #1. No contest. The reality is that it's a summer outdoor set that you picked up on Amazon, probably as an impulse buy or because you saw some people playing a different game on the beach and since you couldn't find that game, you went with this.Rest assured, unlike most of your other impulse buys, this is one that will keep the regret factor to a minimum. And in fairness, this regret comes not from the game or the quality of the set itself, but rather from the fact that you and your family/friends will still never seem quite as happy as everyone else does at outdoor gathering spots.But, and this is important, when that J-Ton purchase regret starts creeping in-- even if your game isn't the "hip, new, funky, fresh what's happening now, sensation of the summer", what did anyone else impulse buy 4 days ago in hopes of getting everyone moving, with maybe, just maybe the chance for a hint of genuine bonding? Nothing! That's right, it was you, and only you who made the effort. The first time you have a 10 hit rally, your socially distanced celebration is going to make every penny you spent on Jazzminton feel almost worth it!See you on the beach! (But don't forget the ponchos, it will probably rain.)

My kiddo and the neighbor kids just love this!

Quick ship, nice quality for reasonable price. Granddaughters and I had a good time. Play in an area with a lot of room. The shuttle cocks fly pretty far when hit well.

Never played this game before but its fun, quality is good.

I should have paid attention to the size and handles of the paddles that I bought. When I received them, first thing I noticed was the grip. It was not the tennis style handle I was expecting; instead was wound with a strip of foam tape. Handle was also 1 inch shorter. Not sure how long this grip will last. Still thinking of returning them but noticed that replacement paddles with tennis style grip are also 1 inch shorter.Photo shows original paddle that came with the game on the left and replacement paddle on the right.
