This is a big jar and presents well. The spigot mount however does not mount on the flat even though it's fairly high above the bottom of the jar. Net results: The spigot droops like a middle aged man out of Viagra; the gasket has to prevent leaks so count those turns carefully; and the jar has to be tilted a fair way to get the last bit of liquid out.Given it's just a big jar, the hole placement is disappointing.

Good product except for plasticky spigot which I changed for steel spigot ($4 online). Great for brewing Kombucha with a towel around the sides, and easy monitoring of brewing process. Bought 2 for 2nd fermentation process with berries, herbs etc.

+Good thick quality glass jar.-Would be a big plus if there was a rubber ring like a real Mason Jar.! Do a water test first after installing the faucet: it might leak. Both of mine did. Tighten it tighter, not too much because the faucet might break.Amazon sells separate faucet, there is probably a reason.
