🔧 Elevate Your Cutting Game!
The Bosch TS1008 Left Side Support is an essential extension for Bosch table saws, providing an additional 12 inches of support for larger workpieces. Made from durable aluminum, it includes all necessary mounting hardware for easy installation and can be conveniently stored when not in use.

Must have
The 4100 series of the Bosch table saw is a mobile tool. In order to be able to cut larger stock, you need to be able to extend the reach of the table base top. You really need both front and left supports. They slide easily into the unit and extend when you need them. Get them both.

An essential addition to my 4100XC-10 saw
I did not encounter the problem of the length of the screws, I did not even pay attention to whether they were the same. Actually my only problem was with the assembly instructions. There are two holes in the Side Support: A nd B.The manual states: "3. When attaching side support rod 5 to 4100 or 4000 hole A will be used, when attaching side support rod 5 to GTS1041A Hole B will be used. (Figure 1)".I assumed to use hole A for my 4100XC-10 saw and that was my fault. I spent some time until I realized that there was no way I could align the rods. And then I decided to try using hole B. The alignment was very easy, except for the awkward position of the screw heads relative to the mounting brackets. However, I managed to tight screws by using the hex wrench, I have received with TS1016 Out Feed Support Assembly. I think Bosch should update the assembly manual and to mention the 4100XC-10, the current US model.

Not Quite Ready to Bolt ON
This support is well designed and fairly substantial and should adequately support most wood that you may want to cut. This installation issue is not so much with this item itself but with the holes in the bottom of the table to which it is designed to mount. On my table the coating they put on the table closed the holes up enough that I had to run a tap in the holes to get the screws in. The tap required is a 6 Mx1.0 and a plug tap will work adequately. Not enough space to work with a tap handle so you will need a small wrench to turn the tap (I used a 13/64" from my ignition set) for the new tap I purchased. Since I didn't have the correct size metric tap available it took me four days to get this installed while waiting for a tap. If you have the tap or if the threads in the holes are not coated this should be maybe a 30 minute job.

Wish it was longer
The support was relatively easy to install - two brackets on the front and back of my Bosch 4000 table saw. Once the brackets were installed, the metal rods must be installed and fastened to the metal plate, then inserted into the brackets, and held with a metal retaining clip. This comes with two screws that tighten to lock the support in place. I found it quite rigid and in-line with the table itself, making it easier to cut plywood sheets. I just wish this was longer by about 1 or 2 feet.

Okay, But Not Great for REAXX Table Saw
I bought this TS1008 Left Side Support for a Bosch GTS1041A-09 REAXX table saw, which comes with a similar rear support.Pros:* It does exactly as you would expect - provides left side support for cutting somewhat wider pieces of wood. A little bit wider only, not "very wide".* It was easy to install, unlike what was described by other reviewers here. Hint: Finger tight to start, then adjust.Cons:* The rear bracket blocks 10 inch blades from the blade storage compartment on the REAXX table saw. You can still access the tools to change blades or reset the cartridge, but you cannot store or extract a 10 inch blade. If you installed it with a blade already in the storage area, then you must uninstall it to get your blade out. I did not test it with an 8 inch blade.* This left side support doesn't have a "graceful" closed position on a REAXX table saw. You can see that the bottom cutouts don't match up with the indentations on the saw. When you close it, one edge of the left support simply bumps into a sloped part of the blue plastic on the side of the saw. It won't be long before it leaves a permanent mark on the plastic.Hints:* Read the directions carefully.* Hand tighten the four bolts that attach the supports to the underside of the saw. By "hand tighten", I mean "slightly loose" so you can make adjustments so that it slides smoothly. When you're all done assembling the extension, adjust the alignment and then tighten the bolts.* Spray-on dry teflon lubricant keeps the slides moving smoothly without any mess and without attracting stick-on sawdust.

Convenient and easy.
Easy bolt on though the C clips can be a pain. Strong enough as stabilizing support arm but I don’t want to lift on it. Remember to tighten lock screw when storing saw as it will slide out. I’m still debating on the rear one.

I'm a mechanical engineer from a good school, and I've got a full workshop with ...
This is frankly necessary in order to get full use from the 4100 saw. Not sure why they couldn't have just included it with the saw in the first place. So, I bought it. No qualm there. I'll recap my installation experience: Spent 10 minutes assembling it, and an hour trying to get the darn thing to move smoothly without it binding. There are just too many variables. You have two tubes mounted to the bottom of the saw (with slotted holes), that need to be perfectly parallel. PERFECTLY. Otherwise the slides will bind.I'm a mechanical engineer from a good school, and I've got a full workshop with good lighting and the right tools for the job. It shouldn't be this hard, Bosch.Other than the PITA that installation proved to be, it's a solidly built item and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from it. Even though it still binds. Guess I'll break out the WD-40.Hey Bosch, did I mention that IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD??

so very useful
That extra width is so very useful when cutting larger pieces no more finding items to give support at just the right height, simply pull it out and it done. The Bosch saw does have an extension table built in on the right hand side this is the perfect match. So very easy to install as well and inexpensive to boot.

accurate installation a bit finicky and could not get it to extend full 12 inches
Works fairly well but as stated, installation to get it to fit square with the table top was harder than it should've been. Difficult to get to the hex head screws and tighten them. The rod closest to the front wont extend out to the full 12 inches (only 11) while the back rod extends 11 and half. I suspect I may have to adjust the screws again and will update comment if I can get it to extend fully.

Took way longer than it should but once it's done it works great and is a good buy
With only four bolts to screw in you think this would be a breeze to install but not so fast. Getting it lined up just perfectly so that it slides in and out smoothly is surprisingly finicky. Took way longer than it should but once it's done it works great and is a good buy. I recommend this but just keep in mind that you might be fussing with it for a little longer than you think in order for it to work smoothly.

Finicky to set up
A pain to set up. Shouldn’t be that finicky. Good once installed.

Essential addition
This was easy to install, easy to level up, and slides out of the way when not in use. This and the outfield support immeasurably improve the usefulness of the Bosch 4000 table saw.
