THE Planner for Teachers with Many Preps
I have used this planner for over a decade and LOVE it! I’m a secondary world languages teacher with 5 subject preps, and also act as RtI Coordinator. This is the only planner I’ve found that has enough space for all my planning! I can see everything across two open pages. The days of the week are organized down the left side of the left page with bold lines separating the rows, BUT the column lines are light, dotted, and really up to you to set. This is why I love it! I can set WIDE columns for five classes, RtI, and even have room for a to-do list! There are plenty of pages, and I always have extra unused pages. I got a friend of mine with fewer preps hooked on using The Green Plan Book, and she can plan all her classes on one page (two weeks worth across the open planner). One planner lasts her two years! There is no specific calendar page, but I use the space to the left of the subject/time header to write in the weekly date, and then write in the individual dates next to the days of the week, adding earl releases, make-up days, calendar reminders, etc. Yes, this is extra work, but it’s the first thing I use to wrap my head around the new year! There is room to add reminders in this same space. This planner is my brain from August to May!On the whole, the planner is very durable. It makes it through the year with minimal wear and tear. Its only downfall is that sometimes the binding isn’t closed tightly enough, allowing the back cover to slip out. It’s not very easy to slip back in, so squish it together when it arrives!

Simplest and Prettiest Way to be Organized
Love this book as a homeschooling mom!!!!! We are using the Waldorf method and I'm working with two of my children right now, and it gives me plenty of room... I like to write my plans in by creating little categories to go in each little box (instead of writing longways across the whole page, which you could also do because the vertical lines are quite faint), and then do a light diagonal line across the box as each item is completed. This helps me see at a glance what I've completed each day and what we have left to do.On the left hand page, I have 8 columns. I use 4 for my 6th grader and 4 for my 8th grader. (I write the main lesson topic we are covering at the top of the page). For each child, our main lesson work is divided into four parts. One column is yesterday's main lesson oral review & composing a written page for the main lesson book (covering the content from the previous lesson), one column is the story which will be today's lesson, one column is today's hands-on exploration, and one column is the main lesson book illustration for today's lesson. On the right hand page, I have 10 columns. I use color-coding for each of our subjects (this comprises the work we do besides the main lesson each day, but we certainly don't do every subject every day!) There are 9 colors. Therefore, I use one column for each and I have one column left for writing Notes. I love to see the pretty little rainbow of colored dots running across the top of the page. What could be simpler? (I don't have a separate section for our Morning Circle time... I just put those activities under their subject heading and then cross them off when they're done.)Yellow: Language.Orange: Cultural (History, Geography, Philosophy).Red: Art & Music.Purple: Practical Life (Cooking, Woodworking, Handwork - Knitting, Crochet, Sewing, Weaving, Felting).Blue: Mathematics & Geometry.Green: Science & Nature.Brown: P.E.Gold: Penmanship & Form Drawing.Silver: Foreign Language.

Very big
I really wanted a lesson plan book for this year to keep me more organized. I bought this one because the reviews were great, even though I couldn't see inside. I like how the book is presented, but I feel like it is more geared toward elementary teachers. I wish there was a more compact version of this book as it is quite large and has way more space than I need. There are two whole open pages for one week of planning. There are some fun student info sheet type pages in the front, but something I would never use as a high school teacher. I will still use this book for this school year, but will probably look for something smaller in the future!

Best plan book ever
This is the plan book I looked for and looked for until some random mentioning eventually led me to it. What makes this plan book so wonderful? It's big, giving more than a tiny square to cram in a full day's lessons, and it's totally ready to customize.Yes, some people might like a more organized plan book, but this is perfect for me, largely because there is so much room! Page after page of a week (taking up two large pages) after week with Monday through Friday and plenty of room to truly plan. The beginning? Perhaps a bit outdated with today's technology, but still good with information for subs and grades and whatnot.I love this plan book and will get one every year.

Super flexible/ Best ever planner!
I went through 10 or 12 different plan books before finding The Green Plan Book and discovering perfection. The book has enough columns to fit my entire day - even though I use 2 columns per period for several periods. My school has a 7 period day and I still have a column for my prep AND one for lunch as well (you know how sometimes it's good to plan for lunch :-) ) The wide size means everything fits and I can even write large enough for me to read it even with tired eyes! I use each 2-page spread as one full week. There are plenty of pages for my entire school year - plus more!

Great planner....thin enough....wipeable cover.....great organization!
I am homeschooling my daughter for the first time this year. I was looking for a plan book to lay out daily lessons and assignments. The Green Plan Book is great! The cover is very sturdy and is easy to wipe off. It is a great planner! It would also be very useful to a schoolhouse teacher....the first few pages are for student information....then a page for conferences....substitute information....seating plan....Birthdays....Notes....Student Transportation Information....Daily Schedule....Yearly Planning....Planning Pages....Notes...It is thin enough so it doesn't take up much space, easy to wipe off, sturdy, and great planning pages for all your schooling needs.

Buy it!
I love, love, love this day/lesson planner so much that when I couldn't find it at any stores in the next closest city I bought it off of Amazon, even though it came in two weeks into the school year. Unlike some of those bigger, clunkier, spiral planners that teachers are often accustomed to, The Green Plan Book is very slim and light to carry around. It's long/wide, blank pages are easy to divide up based on your specific needs/lesson blocks/time periods, and the calendars, information pages, supply pages, attendance sheets, and space for general notes, etc allow you to jot down everything you'd like to keep handy with ease. Additionally, with each two page spread offering long rows to plan your Mondays to Fridays (you fill in your own dates), it is easy to go over long-range plans, and to see exactly how your week will/can unfold. If you're not the type of person who writes excessively detailed plans for each day and for each and every lesson (ex, curriculum expectations, materials, overall lesson plan, guiding questions, and reflections), then you won't regret buying this planner. I can't recommend it enough!
