SIMPLE TRUTHOrganic Instant Coffee, 3.53 oz (Pack of 2)

Way Too Pricey on Amazon (Over DOUBLE Kroger's Price!) But IMHO Its the BEST Organic Instant Coffee!
I have been getting this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee from Kroger supermarket for at least a year or two, maybe more, and I really like(d) it, not only for the taste, and that its organic, but also, because at $5.99 for 3.5 oz jar at Kroger’s is the BEST price that I’ve seen, for that quantity of organic instant coffee with other places charging anywhere from a few dollars more to DOUBLE or even TRIPLE that price for the same amount.Granted, I’m FAR from an expert coffee connoisseur, though I have tried and DO ♥️ certain kinds of organic specialty/gourmet flavor-roast whole-bean coffees like Pumpkin Spice and Hazelnut, Irish Creme, Chocolate Almond and others. Nevertheless, I still buy this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee for two reasons: 1.) For me for convenience, because my single cup Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Black/Stainless Steel Travel Mug went bad sometime ago, and since I’m NOT a HUGE coffee drinker, I haven’t yet gotten around to replacing it — and THIS Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee is a lot easier than making an entire pot of coffee with the regular Cuisinart Grind & Brew Automatic 12 Cup Coffeemaker just for one or at most two cups of coffee2.) Because my mom is not a huge coffee drinker (though as I've said, I’m not either!) and she finds most coffee that is fresh-brewed, whether from pre-ground or freshly ground from whole beans to be too strong, and prefers instant coffee which she can control the exact strength more directly.Yet, I no longer feel comfortable buying non-organic coffee (whether instant, pre-ground or whole bean) knowing/having read that coffee & tea are among the most heavily pesticide-sprayed crops in the world. But when I first started looking for organic instant coffee (before I came across this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee at Kroger), at an average of $8, $10, $12 or more for around a 3.5 oz jar, they all seemed to be too much to spend. Fortunately, the solution was reached when I found this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee at Kroger, through the Instacart grocery delivery service for $5.99 for a 3.5 oz jar — and while that is still NOT a *great* price, in my honest opinion, its DEFINITELY worth it to have organic instant coffee. The ONLY cheaper organic instant coffee that I have found, is Anthony’s Organic Instant Coffee in a 14 oz bag/pouch for $13.99 (or $13.29 with Subscribe & Save) and I’m nervous about spending that to buy such a large amount (because that amount would probably last us MONTHS, if not longer!) of a coffee that I’ve never tried before.Which is why I was so glad to find this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee at Kroger, because I LOVE it. It is simple to make (just add a spoonful or so [depending on taste and size of the mug] to boiling water, then stir in whatever extras, like cream, milk, butter and/or MCT oil [for the Keto coffee drinkers], sugar or other sweeteners [stevia, monkfruit, erythritol, etc.], vanilla extract or other flavorings, etc.) and it tastes delicious, with a nice, smooth flavor, and not much, if any bitterness. I not only make a cup or two of this coffee pretty much every day, for my mom (who as I mentioned, doesn’t much care for coffee brewed in the machine, whether from pre-ground or freshly-ground whole beans) but until I get around to replacing my single cup Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker , on the days when I want to have coffee, rather than firing up the big Cuisinart Grind & Brew Automatic 12 Cup Coffeemaker , I’ve been using this instant coffee which is lot easier. Even if its for no other reason than that it means that there are a LOT less things to left to wash afterwards!Because when making coffee with this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee , I just heat some water in an electric kettle, then pour it into a cup, stir in a spoonful or so of the coffee, add organic cream and sweetener (usually de-bittered organic stevia and/or monkfruit sweetener) and voila, a cup of coffee, with barely 2 things (at most maybe 3 if you count the spoon used to add the coffee and stir in the cream and sweetener!) left to wash afterwards. Whereas, using the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Automatic 12 Cup Coffeemaker necessitates washing the grinder basket & lid (where the whole coffee beans are put — and even if I use pre-ground coffee that still means only 2 less things, since I still have to wash out the 3 parts of the filter basket!) and the filter basket holder, the filter basket & the filter basket lid, as well as the coffee-pot/carafe and the carafe lid. Not to mention the coffee mug also. So essentially EIGHT (8) things that need to be washed after making coffee in my Cuisinart Coffeemaker using whole coffee beans, and SIX (6) things that need to be washed if making coffee in the coffee-maker using pre-ground coffee………………and that's too much hassle for only one or two cups of coffee. I mean, if there were others at home who drink the coffee-maker coffee, that’d be one thing. But my brother drinks French-Press coffee, my mom prefers instant coffee, and even if my dad drinks coffee, its on his own & never when I offer any or with the coffee I make. So, since I’m the only one who drinks coffee from the coffee-maker, its just NOT worth it, and THAT’S where this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee comes in, on the occasions when I want a cup of coffee.Basically, this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee is a GREAT organic coffee for those without coffee-makers and/or those who want the option of having a quick cup of coffee or two without a lot of extra work — and the ONLY reason I am giving this coffee 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the price on Amazon is MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of the same size jar of this coffee at Krogers. Like previously mentioned a 3.5 oz jar is $5.99 at Kroger, but on Amazon it is almost $14. Ridiculous!I would never have bought this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee from Amazon, were it not for the fact that in April (about a month or so into the COVID-19 lockdown) our supply of coffee was running low (it was pretty much at the bottom of the jar) AND it was COMPLETELY out of stock at Kroger. As such, I didn't want to risk running out completely while in the meantime, this coffee ended up being sold out/out of stock EVERYWHERE (including Amazon) and be forced to buy regular instant coffee & finish that entire jar before being able to have organic and fair-trade instant coffee again. So, even though it was more than TWICE what it costs at Kroger, I ordered Amazon, and hopefully it will last until its back in stock at Kroger. So, even though on Amazon, this Simple Truth Organic Instant Coffee costs more than TWICE what it does at Kroger, I still ordered it on Amazon, and hopefully it will last until its back in stock at Kroger, at which time I will stock up on extra jars for emergencies. Because this is a wonderful-tasting and easy to make organic coffee and as I said, its price on Amazon is the ONLY reason I deducted one star. But other than that, I ♥️ this coffee!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 STARS!!!!!!!!!!

Instant & organic
To me this tastes the way I’d expect instant coffee to taste, but there are occasions I only have time for a quick cup of instant coffee. And it’s a plus that it’s organic.

Above Average Instant Organic Coffee
This is the other side of the coin for those following organic instant coffee reviews. I recently left a less than stellar review for a best selling organic coffee brand here due to the lack of flavor and bitterness. I did not re-order that brand, and this "Simple Truth" brand was my next try.It recently arrived, the moment I peeled back the seal I got a very fragrant coffee aroma. That was encouraging. Non existent with the former one.Although not incredible, the taste is a vast improvement and the flavor is not strong but not mild. It has great "awakening" power. Glad I ordered it and I will continue to order this brand.

One bottle was broken
I love the coffee but not having one broken. It said no return on this product but what about the fact one was broke?

Tastes just like your favorite morning cardboard.
I thought this was freeze dried when I ordered it. Ugh. It is just the ultra fine ground kind. So gross. Tastes like every other kind of disgusting instant coffee that is not freeze dried. Mount Hagan and Juan Valdez are the only good tasting instant coffees I have ever had. This stuff is cardboard. Non returnable. Great... $11 in the trash.
