OTTERBOX COMMUTER SERIES for iPhone SE (1st gen - 2016) and iPhone 5/5s - Retail Packaging - BUBBLEGUM WAY (BUBBLEGUM PINK/SEASHELL PINK)

I recently picked up an iPhone 5 and needed a new case. I've owned other Otterbox products before to hold some of my audio stuff, so I know their stuff is tough, and it was almost a no brainer to pick up their case for the iphone. I already knew that their case wasn't going to be tiny- in fact, I took my phone out today to clean and I was astonished at just how small my phone was naked; however, I find this to be a pretty small tradeoff for the protection my phone is getting. Another good thing is- the case is made of the same kind of plastic that is used on their Otterbox 2000 cases, so it's extremely hard and reasonably scratch resistant. It's slide around desks, and tables, and I don't have a single mark on my case yet, which I've read is quite the opposite of those Speck candy shell cases I was also looking into.Unfortunately, I possess butter fingers (probably just like you, since you're looking into this case), and I'm happy to report that this case can and will protect your phone. I have yet to drop my phone, but the case is so sturdy with the rubber lining and plastic outer shell, I wouldn't be concerned if it did. The case comes with a screen protector, but I removed it today, because I can never get those damn things on without bubbles. I don't mind not having one... the glass seems decent enough to not scratch easily, and if I drop the phone on something hard enough to break the glass, the screen protector wouldn't protect it anyways. The front is raised a bit so the screen wont come in contact with flat surfaces, and even the back of the case is a little bit raised in the corners. I've been carrying this case for about 2 weeks now and it looks good at new. I keep my phone in my front pocket without issues of bulk or weight (at least any that bother me.)My only complaint about the case is that the little cover for the lightning port connection begins to bend and kind of bulge out in the middle over time. This is due to the fact that it presses against the lightning connector when you're charging, and it starts to bend the little flap, so over time, when you close the flap, it no longer sits flush with the rest of the case. One last thing that bothered me a tiny bit was the screen protector- I didn't notice this right away, so it might've just happened over time, but when viewed at an angle, it has this weird rainbowish waviness/reflectiveness to it. Hard to explain... if you've ever seen spilt motor oil on the floor reflecting in the sun, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

With a price nearly half of what you pay in the store, I was skeptical of its authenticity; however, it comes sealed in the original OtterBox packaging (just like at the store) and is, by all appearances, genuine. It fits perfectly with my iPhone 5 and provides a nice balance of protection without being too bulky. I didn't want a defender series because it's simply too big ---this commuter series is a perfect compromise. Fits in there nice and snug and gives me piece of mind that I don't have to treat my phone like a newborn baby.The only "complaint" I really have is that the screen protector scratches REALLY easily. I know the point is to prevent the actual screen from scratching, which it is doing, but I just put the case on yesterday and I already noticed quite a few scratches on the protector and I haven't even left the house or done anything. The good thing is you can hardly tell there's a protector on the phone...many protectors I've tried before cause the screen quality to suffer, but this doesn't. I don't notice any difference in screen quality; the display is crystal clear just as it is without the protector. And the scratches I see are very superficial and require you to look at just the right angle, for the record.I read reviews of people complaining that it was slippery and the top button was hard to press...I have not experienced this. The shell is smooth plastic, but it's not slippery as parts of the rubber layer provide a nice grip around the edges. I actually prefer it because the "sticky" rubber cases are a pain to try and get in and out of your pocket; the smooth plastic presents no problems. The buttons are not hard to press...some people must have very weak fingers. It fits like a glove and looks great. I love that it also has little flaps that protect the headphone jack and lightning port.The shipping was REALLY fast but I think that's because the seller is located just two hours north of me (according to the tracking it was shipped from Orlando, FL).Overall I definitely recommend this case and the seller! Top notch.

I absolutely love this case! It’s very durable and easy to put on despite other reviews saying otherwise. (Tip: put the rubber cover peice on first and then the hard plastic cover part slips right on.) Someone also commented saying it was Barbie pink. It’s not. It’s a nice soft pink and is as exactly as shown. Comes with a 1 year warranty. I’m quite happy with it.
