Better safe than sorry
I use these whenever modifying or adding circuits. I have had no false trips and they are easy to install using the back wire option. Tamper free is now required by the NEC. I have used the combo AFCI and GFCI units near water sources and in my basement . Cheap insurance.

installs just like a GFCI. no issues with the product. make sure you get a deep j-box, because they are pretty sizeable. also, it did take a while to get this, because it was on backorder for a few weeks. don't expect to receive it immediately.

Great Product!
This product worked great for a remodeled bedroom. The 20amp version was actually cheaper then the 15amp version which was a nice bonus because I had already ran 12 gauge wire to the bedroom.

Fine if you get what you ordered.
Product seems to be acceptable as long as you get what you ordered. Be wary of Amazon Warehouse deals. Had to return 5 of 12 spread across multiple orders; mix of 20 and 15 amp after finding they sent me the right box but with assorted other brands of GFCI rather than AFCI outlets inside them. One of these was also heavily used, besides being GFCI rather than AFCI. Also, some were not tamper resistant. Also, all but one of the rest of the units I got from Amazon Warehouse were just the plan "AFCI" version rather than the "AFCI 2.0" pictured in the description. If Amazon inspects these before selling them to us, whoever they have inspecting them is sadly unqualified. So far they have accepted the returns, but that doesn't nearly make up for the amount of wasted time.Also, some of the units I got from Amazon Warehouse are nearly impossible to plug anything into; much harder than other tamper resistant receptacles. The product comes with the bold blue paper stickers to mark other receptacles on the branch; not apparently as durable or as aesthetically pleasing as the little white labels that came with Legrand receptacles I've used.
